they have eyes plates you can change behind the face. The eyes are moveable? That's awesome.
Omegaglory, as long as you aren't like the people at MyFigureCollection who are defending this figure and Medicom and being total pricks to everyone else, I think that's fine the people defending it are out of their mind, hating on the people who think they're getting ripped off with the changes and all.
I mean, I think it still looks all right but this is still a disappointment. When I get a 1/6th scale figure, I expect a lot.
My attitude is that if the figure isn't to my liking I don't buy it, regardless of who made it. Most of my collection may be HT and SS but if I paid £200 and opened up a box to find something that's a total con or not to their usual standard then I won't be trying to make excuses for them.
My theory is that some people build up high expectations for an upcoming product and find it difficult to process their thoughts when it isn't 100% perfect. These figures aren't cheap and some people need to validate their actions rather than admit it was a disappointment. There's also the fact that there some people are absolute elitists.
That aside, I do like what I'm seeing so far
This is the stage I'm going through right now
https://jan.2chan.net/nov/y/src/1396161943313.jpgInterchangeable plates? Sorry for the misinformation. One guy had said on another forum it had new things used on the Berserk figure like the individual movable eyes and the articulation on the ankle which it does appear to have
Even with the not so good lightning and background and unfutzed pics, I think it looks great. Yeah, minus the tunic fabric which looks like indoor football carpet. Maybe the change was to match color?
They completely ruined this figure, $250 saved.
I think the gallery photos look pretty great!
I have no issue with people not liking this due to the changes. However, I do think that medicom delivered on everything they advertised except the tunic, and I do 't think the tunic as eggregiously bad as some.
I am curious though, had this final tunic been in the prototype, and we never saw the other one, would those who don't want this now still dislike the tunic as much? Basically, is the tunic itself so horrible, or is it really just seeing a downgrade from something else you came to expect? Speaking of expectations, I don't really except an answer to that question. It's somewhat rhetorical and impossible to answer objectively. Guess we'll have to set up a double blind study.
Everybody always flips out at the first in-hand pics. It's just drive-by haters. Then once the actual fans and people who like the product chime in, the consensus swings in a more positive and representative direction.
Personally, there was always going to be stuff I was going to change about this, I want a more traditional Link, something in line with Twilight Princess is good, but a more "generic" LTTP version would be grand. I have no need for that elaborate bow, or whatever the heck that beetle/hookshot thing is. I never played Skyward Sword.
Wow, I love EMS.
Scanned in Japan at 1:00 this morning, and then was scanned in at Customs in San Francisco at 6:30 this evening. I might have this bad boy tomorrow.
Yea I was going to order this but yea money saved way to go Medicom.
Makes no logical sense to change the material from a nicely tailored tunic into this green nut rag.
guess the tunic in proto will cost so they used a cheap farblic which imo hurt the figure.
