That video is very impressive... Sideshow will really have their work cut out for them.

Anything less than the Medicom will be a big disappointment.

I don't think the scale is an issue, and I've got the money, so I can't really see anything but the lovely shininess of Threepio and the gorgeous lights. You could say I'm blinded by them, I suppose.

You'll all be kicking yourself about missing out on these, mark my words!

Doubtful. They are nice, but scale will play a major part when 3PO is shorter than Princess Leia and R2's no bigger than a salt shaker. They are gorgeous pieces, but if I'm dropping that king of cash, I want something that's gonna be to scale with all of the Sideshow pieces. I'd be kicking myself more if I bought these, especially at that price, and Sideshow's turn out better. I'm also highly disappointed that 3PO's hollow. For $200 there should've been a base body underneath and at the same price as 3PO R2 damn sure should've been the right height in relation to him. Shame on Medi for cutting corners there.

Yawn!

I still don't get this obsession with scale. Just stick 'em in your bathroom, or somewhere else your SS figures don't live!

I think mine might have to live on my desk at work, they'll be the talk of the office.

$400s worth of action figures in the bathroom because they don't fit with the other figures! :rock:rock:rock:cuckoo:

For the same reason I've gotten rid of most of my other Medicom figures, if I spend that kind of crazy cash on them, scale-wise, they better fit into my display. Additionally, it's lame how you neglected to quote the other issues as they're equally relevant detourants. They ain't even to scale with each other. :lol

I could probably live with the scale if it weren't that they aren't even in scale to each other. C-3PO and R2 are a duo, so having them be off in relation to one another is unforgiveable.

I am curious how C-3PO looks next to figures as he looks good enough that I could probably live with him being a bit too short. Throw in a Hasbro R2 as a stand in and be done.

Both look mighty nice, but I don't have that kind of disposable cash right now, so I'll wait to see if they drop in price later on.

I was only yanking your chain.

Obviously I want other people to join me in splurging on these so I don't feel guilty about dropping so much cash on 'em!

I know this has been discussed to death, but in that video I didn't feel like they were that out of proportion to each other. I certainly wouldn't have noticed it without seeing comparison photos.

Eh, if I like something, who gives a ____ what everybody else things. Buy it and enjoy it. I'm more than certain I've got stuff in my collections others think is garbage or insanely overpriced (like a secondary market Patient Zero). :lol

I thought so too. I would think 9 out of 10 people, even Star Wars fans, probably wouldn't notice that R2 is half an inch too short. That's not to excuse it exactly, because I don't understand what the issue is with getting their relative scale right, but I'm not sure it's that huge of a problem. The scale relative to other figures is a bit more of a worry (for me anyway).

Says the guy R2's accurate height in relation to 3PO posted in his sig. :p:lol

Since I plan to just get the R2 and display him in my R2/Astromech case (and not with any other SW 12" figures) the scale issue doesn't really bother me. However, it is dumb and rather frustrating that Medicom continually ignores this.

But the price is still gonna hurt. :monkey4

Wow!!
Just saw that video!!
Regardless of height, these have to be the finest 3PO and R2 action figures ever!!
Medicom is great when it comes to amour and details like that...
So tempted... yet so expensive!!!
Great work Medi!! :rock!!

I cancelled them, but that video does make me almost reconsider. I hadn't realized that I have about 12 Medicom SW figures already - They'd fit right in...
