Will the SS counterparts be PFs or pose-able figures? Sorry I am kinda new in the Star Wars universe especially collectibles made by SS. I have to cut my budget in the short term so if SS is coming out with this Duo pose-able and more accurate that would help me a lot :p
:borg:

Well, it's not as if this will be your only chance to get these figures. In all likelihood, you'll be able to pick them up for less on the secondary market in a year or two, so I wouldn't feel any pressure to buy these just because they're the best we have at the moment. I'm just going to make do with my Hasbro versions for now and see what happens.

Thanks. Yeah I have to make cuts somewhere and these two seem to be one of the few choices I have to put under the chopping block. For Star Wars I was tempted to pick up all the main ANH characters from SS as they are still readily available and affordable but I am just hoping this will not change for a while until I recover from my recent madness. But eventually I have to at least get these two and ObiWan and Yoda as I already have picked up Darth Vadar and Han&Luke in disguise and Leia

no foundation??? SS has bested Medicom on everything they've ever done.

LOL NO!

Vader and Luke yes. (and i would hope so, after a 2004 and 2005 release) Vader was easy make him taller, Luke had a better face sculpt easy.

Maul, Han, Stormtrooper, and Clones are all of better quality, and Medicom did them better period.(if not perfect still better) But like someone else said it's all subjective. Also unlike Medicom, SS did not need HT's help!

Just like Medi boba and Jango, SS will be hard pressed to do better with the droids quality wise. (scale aside, not everyone gives a ____)

Medicom still kicks ass in tailoring i don't care what anyone says. Lets face it people wanna make fun of medi, but SS's early attempts look like nothing more than suped up Hasbro dolls. Only as of late has SS caught up to the better 1/6 makers in the world. But still are improving.

We all know Hot Toys will be making the droids for SS!!

You're right, it is all subjective. I find the SS versions of all four of those to be superior. Until Medicom gets rid of those emaciated bodies that are only good for anime figures, all the tailoring in the world can't save them.

That's right. Lotta people stating ____ around here as fact. (hell i do it to, but usually i at least put IMO and the end)

To each their own, i buy from both company's so i definitely feel i get more insight of both company's strengths and weaknesses than just looking at pics. ( i also enjoy both company's, lol some people just can't stand that)

Hot toys > Medicom > Sideshow. (for me currently)
Enjoy your toys guys. Cause at the end of the day that's all they are.:peace

I have to say this, i really do still love my Medicom ROTS Vader,Stormtrooper and ROTJ Luke, sure Luke's pale, not really the best Hamill likeness, velcro on the shirt is cumbersome..with all that said, i do like the saber he comes with more, the tailoring is good yes.

Medicom Stormie, love the helmet sculpt(is only bested by Marmit), armor is soft sure but, it looks closer to the on screen armor then SS's attempt. The SS Stormie has hard armor which is better and looks even better with Future applied, folding stock blaster is much better, separate armor pieces on torso is great too but, i wish the figure had a better headsculpt and properly molded armor as seen in the movies and not so bloated, missing neck ribbing is also a let down.

Are you for real? The Medicom vs. Sideshow debate is soooo 2008. Medicom releases how many SW figures a year now? :lol

Whatever. Let's say 2006-2008-ish Happy? :slap

No! Get it right sheesh!:monkey1

If you were not around for the filthyjawas thread at RS, you just weren't with it. ( I know a few members here that will remember that!) :)

Hey Pix, EF? Remember the thread "Medicom still the best?" :) by filthyjawas, oh you guys think a debate has gone on here lol.

Do you just like to argue?

Yea, those were the days. you would put down a medicom figure and then 2 or 3 people would post 50 pics of Medicom spiderman in every possible pose except the ones where he ended up broken.

It was a riot. They failed the debates and crawed away. Oscorp/scarlet spider/whatever other names used stayed. He's alight in my book.

Loving those Spiderman pix!

As for Threepio and Artoo, I still think they look amazing. I'm fortunate however, in that I simply don't know enough about the designs to nitpick. I would never even have known Artoo was too short unless it had been pointed out to me, let alone that his dome is too small (doesn't look it to me, but I imagine someone has measured it and checked!). So to me, they look amazing.

I'm well aware though that if it's something I do know intimately (like Giger's Alien), then inaccuracies can be a real deal-breaker. So to those of you who "suffer" that affliction - my condolences, and I hope Sideshow's versions repay the faith you have in them to better these figures.
