Obviously the person thinks it is so cool/funny/interesting or whatever to do it. Like 'look at me, I can spend this much on these things and just wreck them', but to think that complete waste of money could have gone to a charity or something.

Hehe, This is a defect figure, and i will only get a replacement if i destroy it.

From time to time Sideshow has people destroy stuff and send the video to them as proof, when it's not cost effective to have it shipped back, so that they can replace it. This guarantees someone not taking advantage of the company by selling the broken one on ebaY, etc. Do you guys not remember the farse Ex Girlfriend destroys Biker Scout PF video? Same deal there too.
