Either way, I hope it is an exclusive. I own both systems, and am tired of seeing 99% of games released on both. I paid the big bucks to get both, make it seem worthwhile!

Sweet!!! Big Boss is easily my favorite MGS character so having him in the next one is a plus. I still haven't played MGS4 (I really need a Ps3) but MGS3 was my favorite of the series. The sniper battle with The End was epic.

Could it perhaps be Grey Fox and not Raiden? Probably not but I though I'd through that theory out there. They both have very light hair.

I don't believe it's Gray Fox in the picture - it looks like Raiden to me. You can see the black mouth piece of Raiden's ninja suit, as well as the suit's upper portions.

True or not, here's a few things that one "translation" revealed.

1. Game is going to be on PS3, with some PSP connectivity.

2. THAT apparently isn't Big Boss.

3. Takes place 7 years after 4.

4. The symbol on the beret is completely new, but very important.

This just came to mind: What if the Big Boss we saw in MGS 4 was an impostor? That'll probably explain why the new picture of one-eyed Raiden and "Big Boss'" are shown in the same article (on page 4 of this thread).

If that wasn't Big Boss, that would be the single worst cop-out of all time. To have that really emotional scene and have that not being really him would be awful.

I put nothing past Kojima - the man's capable of doing anything with MGS in nonsensical ways that boggle the mind, and bend the very fabric of any rational understanding we may have of the series. His gift, his curse .

He's got the same beard, the same eyepatch, the same face, same beret. . .you can explain the face, but if this isn't the Boss, then it is a clone who was brainwashed into thinking his is Big Boss or something, which is dumb, IMO.

Or perhaps he IS Big Boss, making the MGS 4 "Big Boss" an impostor . I have no idea. The picture could also be from a flash back, or from an Octocamo mask.

Either way Kojima has never let me down when it come to Metal Gear so we'll just have to wait and see.
