He'll probably consult or supervise the project. MGS is his baby, he wouldn't just let it go without advising here and there.

I think Kojima lied to us (or changed his mind). If he were truly retired from future MGS games, he would have left everything to his staff - but, he didn't do that. Just like MGS 4, I think he'll be directing the script, and overseeing all other aspects of the new game.

Yes, it is Outer Heaven...the ship from MGS4 is Outer Haven. I keep referring back to Haven because of the similarity in the logos.

That's probably true, but I'm not going to blame him for his actions. I love MGS and if he wants to make another one after this new one, by all means he has my blessing.

I kinda feel bad for Kojima, he said he was going to stop making Metal Gear games after MGS2, then made MGS3 and capped off the trilogy. . . then made MGS4. . .he just can't stop making MGS games even though he probably wants to do something different. Konami keeps backing up the armored car to his driveway.

Kojima's insistence on staying aboard the the MGS boat is his choice. Konami and the rest of the MGS team would have continued with MGS5 without Kojima's direct participation. If Kojima is indeed attached to this new MGS project in a directorial capacity then that's his prerogative.

I would like a sequel to Snatcher and the Zone of the Enders series.

Don't know if someone has already posted this but: As the lightning flashes the following letters/Number appear E,3 and then P, most likely this means a preview of MGS5 at E3 (which starts around the time the countdown finishes)- i certainly hope so .

There's an R for Raiden aswell! But what does the lower case E mean?? (I think that's what it is!) Also, does anyone else notice the occasional missile falling down?

According to Joystiq (https://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/26/kojima-teaser-site-updates-with-big-boss/), the patch on the beret reads "Militares Sans Frontieres" (Military Without Borders).Also many are saying that the ninja is not Raiden but Gray Fox because in the image the ninja has brown eyes. Also someone said that after MGS Frank Jaeger lost his eye. That's all pure spequlation.

About multiplatform game(s) maybe the countdown ends during Microsoft's presentation beacuse they may want to steal Microsoft spotlight after last years E3 (as someone also mentioned before).Also this article (https://psp.ign.com/articles/985/985429p1.html) talks about PS3 and PSP MGS games.That doesn't mean it's excleusive, just that it's coming for PS3 (unless at E3 something else is stated).

Also there is this article (https://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=215499) from the tease in the last issue of PSW magazine, although the silhouette has nothing to do with any MGS character as the article points out.

Either way we will know in a few days.

This is Kojima, so these two pics could mean everything or nothing. Could be Octocamo for all we know.
