Thats the thing, this game is not the kind of game at all where you are meant to play through the story mode and thats it. Its a game where you play it over and over to get new skills, learn how to fight better. Its extreme fun. The gameplay is made up by how much the game makes you want to play it again. I got it in the morning, finished it by the afternoon and i went straight back to the start of the game the same day.

Theres great satisfaction in completeing it the first time, and then having a second play through with your updated abilities, look and weapons carried over and your knowledge of how to fight that makes you feel like a badass. And then comes the 3rd play through when youve mastered it even more.

Play mission 18 in VR if you want to be a true master of defense. It's the perfect practice for Revengenace mode.

I knew that was BS I played it for like 8 hours Sunday and I finally did it this past Monday. **** whoever designed that level, seriously.

Fenrir is the biggest problem in that level. But once you get his attack pattern down he's not hard at all. In mission 19 you need to fight 4 at once

So glad I can put the VR missions behind me since I got top rank in all 20 now

Ive heard lots of stories about this mission 18..it's really that notorious huh? my friend just platinumed this last sunday..i wonder how long would it take for me to get it lol... can you compare the difficulty of that mission on any of he vr missions in mgs2? i really had a hard time getting pass the protect meryl with a sniper mission and i wonder if it could be compared to that mission or in any other way.

It's without a doubt, the most difficult thing I've ever encountered in a MGS game. There are multiple threads on Gamefaqs about how people are stumped on it. I literally had 100's of retries. People say it's luck, but it's mostly skill and preparation for enemies spawning. If you're in specific spots on the map before they spawn, you're chances of survival can really jump.

Mission 18 is perfect training for Revengenace mode and after so many retries I'm very skilled at counters to immediate executions.

The next hurdle for me will be beating Revengenace mode with all S ranks, but the Fox blade should come in handy since it's maxed out.

He basically was a Solidus clone and when you think about it the whole story was based on Solidus's training regiment.

George annoys me to no end. Living in NYC, I often come across people from Guyana in public transportation, and often at times, I can't understand a word that they're saying whenever I hear them speak. At least now I know that "skunt" and "rass" are profanities .

It does sound like a game I would enjoy but I will wait for the price to drop. I mean six hours of gameplay is just too short in today's economy. It is like the developers are not even trying.

I really only pay full price for a game that will give me at least sixteen to twenty hours of gameplay. Glad I went with Dead Space 3 cause that game is SICK and I am on my second play through and it still scares the bejesus out of me!

I am at 15hrs of gameplay and I still have lots to unlock.
to me MGS games I always finish 100%.

Games from Platinum were meant to be replayed and mastered. My first run through Bayonetta took 12 hours because I was having such a hard time with the combat mechanics. It wasn't so bad for the second time (although I never got to beating it for a second time ).

defense in this game is evrything. I just love killing the enemy in very stylish ways. this game is about kill and reading your enemy's attacks.
it you button smash you will die all day.
my friend was trying it last nite and he got so owed because he was just button smashing.

Yeah man, that's what I did first too! This game needs a fair amount of skill to master. It's definitely not for the faint of heart.

By the way, I absolutely love this song. I added the intro to my ring tone. It's probably the loudest noise that I've ever heard from my phone

you guys have to agree with me that this game has one of the best video game soundtracks ever made.

in the final fight with armstrong I had my 7.1 soundround blasting.
My jaw was on the ground and I had chills all over.

I will fully admit it for an action hack and slash the soundtrack is superb. I'd mark it right under Devil May Cry 3's OST, hell I will even say it's on par but I've always been partial to DMC3 OST.

At minute 2:11 during the fight with armstrong my sound system was shaking the house so much that I am sure the neighbours heard it and I was standing up yelling at the Tv and cheering.

only MGS games make feel this pumped and emotional.
