This is the one time i am fortunate enough to be in the country an exclusive is released in for a change. But i really see no appeal of the white Raiden despite i can pick it up for a flat £99 posted. Its a nice looking figure but id only get the Black one. Well, if i did buy the set with the White Raiden i could sell the game that comes with (as i already have it) for £30 so it works out i could get the white Raiden at £70 posted.

Well son of a *#"¤#. Now the price in one of local webstores for the limited box had dropped to 134€ and now ofcource it was sold out. Though like I mentioned in the MGS collectibles topic, the info about the box was really vague.

I've got the regular Black one shipping to me now and the only variant I really want (and I've got it pre-ordered from HERE for $68 shipped) is the "Flesh" (yeah yeah yeah, sorry "Red") one as it looks like the muscle under the armor is exposed.

This is seriously going to be one of my favorite figures of 2013...

If I had a choice, I would rather get the full body and armor red Inferno version but I will take what I can get. The blue version looks pretty dynamic too.

I kind of want to see if I can make my own Sam sword and sheath out of clay.

It's a great figure, but it should of been a DX. If they revisit it as a DX I will flip it since it's a pretty bland figure when you think about it

My Playarts Kai Raiden preorder arrived today, decided to import from Hong Kong and not wait on a domestic release, seeing as it'd be the same price, if not more expensive.

Opened it straight away after keeping White Raiden in box and was ecstatic when no parts broke/fell off (!). Fantastic figure with very decent articulation hidden within the sculpted cybernetics. Only problem I had was the sheath arm where its joints were very loose...

It wouldn't be too difficult to do the sheath on it's own, but doing the actual port for the sword to slide into might be tricky. It would be easier to take something which is already made to do it. I think the sword and sheath that comes with the Vergil PAK would work perfectly.

Its such a small articulation i could see that being a common problem. Try using some hot then cold water. It might tighten up. Or maybe not. That doesnt always work out

The special upgrade only has the one level and as for Sam's blade I'm not sure if it works against Armstrong, it might be a bare blade no matter what doing that fight.

The Fox Blade still seems to be the best even though you see other blades with further upgrades.

THAT is a brilliant idea and would no doubt work very very well. I just sold my DMC3 PAK figures, but you are right, that sheath and sword could be customized pretty well (with the right sculpting and such) to look the part. Great idea!
