Update on the 3A Rex from today's newsletter! I'd post the prototype shots but I'm a little busy, so if someone else wants to grab them from the newsletter, go for it.

The wait is nearly over, soon we will be offering Metal Gear REX, from the epic game series METAL GEAR SOLID. It goes without saying we are very proud to work with Team Kojima and Konami to bring a large size REX toy to the world! Check out some photos of the prototype ( sans legs, due to a typhoon yesterday, a fully made up REX wasn't available for shots ), the full reveal is coming, with all the details! And don't forget , Metal Gear RAY is not far behind!

So I guess it's coming out SOMEWHAT soon.

New pics of rex in vox 7! After comparing the new pics with the past hk venture ones, we can see noticeable details being added to rex's head and cockpit!

The 'teeth' for the newer rex seems more pronounced too

The canon also seems thicker than before


Cant wait for more pics!!!!

Konami have just showed their Konami-style Limited edition version MGS collection.

In addition to the Limited Editon (which is 9980 yen)

youl get mugs(huh?) and Headphone (this is 14980)

would totally get this version but im already getting the Beats by Dre, this ain't worth the doe, especially since im getting 3As REX!!!!

Ive already ordered the zavvi ultimate edition, i think ill stick to the Japanese version of this, the artwork is slightly better, no?

plus i wanna play the games in japanese one time

That's if you can get the Japanese version outside of Ebay. I think Play Asia might be the best place for it. I might just do the same thing. I already have all of the MGS games in English, so hearing the dialog in Japanese will be a neat change. And yeah, I agree the packaging in the Japanese version does look MUCH better than it's North American/European counterpart (especially the off-white art-book).

Looks like they are gonna offer both first (undamaged - left) version and last (damaged version - right) of REX!!
Depending on the finished quality, articulation and price, I might pick them up.
Since I built my custom REX already, I'm now more interested in RAY!~

The pics on the right were the first proto pics from 09. the pics on the left are the new, unpainted, proto. Ash said the final pics and detail will be out soon.

Yea i don't think he had those pouches in the game. But he still looks great but the Ninja looks insane!
And whats the deal with the red version of the Ninja? As i don't remember him anywhere in the games

In the original, after 3 play throughs (I think), the ninja becomes red as an easter egg.
Damn, those look better and better each time more photos are posted. Cannot wait for these.

he's got it in some artwork, but i think that pouch is a bit big myself

the colouring looks closer to the game in this pic, but his face looks a little ____ed. hopefully it looks better in person or they improve on it
