It's definitely overrated too, critically at least.

Why is that? But, I should note it's not just here. I remember a few months before MGS V's release, I was being relentlessly cursed out by one user in particular on YouTube. Turns out he was an old bordie from DieSnake and we didn't even recognize each other. Funny thing is, he was all into "V" and then when he finally played it, he was singing the critical tune of SuperBunnyHop.

Some of the most ardent supporters of the game have practically abandoned the V thread, and it's not anyone's fault here - they made up their own minds. One even sold out his entire MGS collection after playing it.

You're right, this is the collectibles thread. I'm looking forward to getting in the union creative Venom Statue. I decided to buy that statue just in case Hot Toys ends up not making and TPP figures.

Because it's a lot different from the other MGS games in the series. Very few cutscenes, and less chatty protagonist, Kojima lied about a lot leading up the game, believe me I get it

I mean, feel free to disagree, I'm 100% sure that the game would've been better received by fans if it didn't have the "MGS" title in it . It definitely took some adjusting to... in the end, I loved the gameplay (that's what kept me going back for a while), but the story, the abrupt pacing, and the cut content just didn't do it for me.

Btw, are any of you guys picking up the new Quiet statue from Gecco?

Where did you pre-order from? The only "V" collectibles I have so far are Sneaking Suit Venom Snake and DD.

GSC wants to focus on schoolgirls, that's what. Or maybe Konami/Kojima are doing something to delay it. I cancelled my Venom Snake a few months ago, couldn't stand to get a single thing from this game.

I can't decide if the revoltechs are something I should dive into. Especially the MGS mini ones for Snake and Grey Fox.

I really wish if the Gecco statue was on SSC for Flexpay... it's going to be over $300 with shipping . I might pick it up, if it doesn't sell out by its August release date.

Speaking of Gecco, tokyo otaku mode got another batch of GZ Snake. About $200 though, god why?

I really wish more came from Kotobukiya having the MGS license. I really like some of their plastic statues but they are mostly used for characters I don't enjoy. I would have killed for MGS 1-4 Snakes with dioramas like the Master Cheif figs they do.

Considering the Kojima fan-base, I dunno. The bewbs on the statue aren't waifu material as compared to PAK, so maybe it won't sell out... as fast.
