I really hope this Raiden doesn't get produced right away. The results of that poll just how stupid MGS noobs are. Who probably were introduced to the series through MGS4 and are all for Raiden.

When it comes down to it this was a poll about what figure you want to be made not whos your favorite MGS character so for a lot of people the Raiden costume from MGS4 would be very complicated and intricate for Hot Toys to make and for some people that means more cool to look at and that makes it a better figure to them.

And for everyone who says they dont want this Raiden because it has already been made by Medicom, that is a horrible version of that character. Hes like way too tall and has horrible articulation not to mention the fact he is practically dissolving and cost upward of $400. Same goes for Old Snake they are terrible figures and should hardly even be talked about any more.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my Medicom Raiden figure has held out extremely well over the last four years. No signs of deterioration, whatsoever. It's true that the articulation left much to be desired, but I always thought that it was one of the more detailed, and accurate figures that Medicom has ever produced .

That's not a bad analogy. I'm a firm believer that Medicom manufactures the poorest quality of figures when it comes to high end figures. But, in terms of what they're capable of, RAH MGS 4 Raiden is one of the very best that they've ever produced.

Well, the retail value for RAH Raiden was around $180 when it was first released. But, the current price range of $400 on Ebay (is that what you're referring to?) is a result of scalpers who are driving up the prices. It's a good figure for Medicom, but I certainly won't recommend anyone spending that much money on it.

I too want an assortment of different MGS figures, and I just hope that the two versions of Solid Snake (MGS 1 and MGS 2) get made

I really bugs the ____ out of me that people throw out secondary market prices for figures as "what they cost". Particularly in arguments about how Hot Toys or whoever is "overpriced". You can hardly hold a company responsible for what people are willing to pay on the aftermarket.

Yup. Ebay and retail prices are two completely different things.

Medicom had no problem re releasing the Big Boss figure and that made prices go down a lot they could have for Raiden as well so in this case I would say its a bit their fault but thats not what I was trying to get at.

I just dont think we should ever take the Medicom figures into account (and I am sure Hot Toys already doesn't) when talking about what we want from HT because the Medicom versions are a piss poor representation of the game series. Also I dont think that the fact that you are a fan of Raiden makes you a "noob","idiot or a "retard" and if that was the case then it looks like there is only a few "real MGS fans" in the world because Raiden won the poll.

That RAY looks great! As does the Fox figure. I really have to pull the pin and order REX and the PA Solid Snake and Ninja Fox figures. Gotta wait until I order the EB Rambo figure first since as I understand when you preorder directly from EB you have to pay up front.

I like the Kubrick version of sneaking suit Naked Snake better than Hot Toys lol. I also think the faces are true to the characters except for the lack of noses XD
