since were on the rex topic lemme bring it in another direction for a min. does anyone already know what theyll pose him like? also will you make him mgs 4 version or mgs 1 version? i cant decide and im barely ever goin to articulate him cause i dont want him loosening up on me. i want to put him in a way different pose than all the pics too. any ideas?

Well the paint job is going to keep it tight. Not sure on what every joint will be but the mouth is a clutch joint but I don't even know what that is. If it's ratchet joints they don't really loosen up that much, Revoltech is like that but this thing has much weight and mass so who knows.

I will mess with it when I get it to see all the removeable panels. I will probably just pose it in the typical hangar position sitting on the support struts.

Maybe I will also pose it in the battle damage look and leaning over just like how REX was after the Liquid Snake battle.

Very late on my promise for a drawing, all I got is a rushed sketch/paintjob on a Liquid Snake. Pretty good considering...



I almost think the uncolored version is better, I also doubled the layer to make it darker.

Hey guys...has anyone seen any concept art sketches by Shinkawa for MGS3, Portable Ops and/or Peace Walker? What I'm really looking for, if you're familiar with the Art of MG books, is where he draws the character from front, profile and back views. Also I like the rough sketches/ideas that are in these books as well...

I just figure it's strange that there'd be no art book for MGS3. thanks dudes!

Im surprised about the impatients, ive been waiting ever since i saw the first prototype 3 years ago. Actually back then i never would have been able to afford it. lol

What im worried about is its coloring, and now the damn head articulation. But mostly im really dreading the possible customs charges on delivery, I will cry if i get hit.

i ordered from sideshow and im from boston in the us. will i get hit? i also finally POed snake and boss from them too. it says i qualify for free shipping on both of them. but im not sure about rex. i wonder how much people from the states have to pay for a big heavy package like rex.

Thats good to hear, i only ever ordered Fighting JC but they lowered the price on the packaging, i don't think id get away with that on a huge box like Rex!

The concepts are my fav parts of the book too, its a shame MGS3 didn't get one. Apparently its because the book designer they got for MGS1 and 2 died before they finished it so they never made it

There is a book for PeaceWalker and PO btw, on the MGS3 book is it this artwork your talkin about?

Yeah that's exactly the type of pictures. I was hoping there were ones for all the characters. From a customizing point of view those are great to have for building figures.

For some reason i haven't seen any decent scanned pics of the HD collection or even MGS4s artbooks. ???
Theres amazing quality scans of the other books. Personally i discovered its much beter to take pics with a high quality camera, unfortunately i don't have one anymore, i woulda taken pics

Yeah it does. I got the medicom sculpt repainted by boot25 years ago when it was first released. It's a great sculpt actually.

Just do it safe and wait for it to hit the states. It's always going to be more pricey ordering from overseas. You can pay 2/3 the price once it's state side.
