WRONG. There were people in this thread stating that Rex was blue, grey or charcoal in color. Go ahead and check for urself, its there. The issue with the green color isnt an issue with me or a lot of others. And as far as the colors not looking right that is your opinion and not everyone on here shares it. Anyways they need to hurry this **** up so I can enjoy him.

No need to get all defensive. You should probably read through the thread more and not make any assumptions. We've been complaining about the green on this thing for a loooonnng time.

Dude why dont you read through the thread yourself. You stated nobody questioned if Rex was green when in fact there were people saying he was other colors,so you got called out. You and a few others said Rex was too green and too bright and that was an issue of yours. I said there were people like me who didnt share the same opinion and that it wasnt an issue, which is true. Just exactly what the hell was I assuming? :impatient: Own up to your **** man. And yes I know you and others have been complaining about the green for a looooonnng time, its gotten annoying. Everybody is entitled to their opinions but you make it sound like your opinion is everybodys opinion on here when it aint. Can you see why I might be a little defensive and or annoyed now?

Lol, the Rex color debate is just like the Ninja Play Arts Kai we had a while back :rotfl

Let's just agree that the current toy makers and designers don't care about the PSx game and are just recoloring old characters in new schemes :peace

Sounds to me like you're just blowing a fuse, and getting defensive at people who don't agree with you. My views are my own, and there are others who just happen to share the same opinions as I do. My apologies for not phrasing it in a way that was understandable for you - I'll try my best not to piss you off next time :rolleyes2.

Just to clarify: the in-game REX is actually a mixture of different colors, under different lighting conditions. The green just seems to stand out a lot more in the ThreeA model than it actually should.

Yeah, that's what I think too. The colors seem to be all over the place in the Play Arts figures, for example. I just wonder how a lot of the latest MGS figures survive the approval process with Kojima and Shinkawa, despite all of their inaccuracies :lol.

:gah: My brain would explode right now if you told me you were over 12 yrs old. Bottom line: Dont **** with a Snake and you wont get bitten - Iroquois..........................Pliskin:wink1:

Sorry dude, but I'm not going to trade insults with a stranger on the Internet, especially over something so petty like the color of an action figure. I'm adding you to my ignore list - no need for either of us to continue this pointless conversation. :peace :wave

thats why im afraid for some things. While the new Fox color is o.k its not accurate, neither is Play Arts Snakes face :panic:

Also i completly disagree, Rex is grey. In that video, there is no sign of green in the cutscenes, maybe a little in the gameplay. But again he's completely grey in MGS4.

in summary i am right, you are wrong :p

hey, does bb have a throat mic in peacewalker. he has to communicate with the base. i figured he did so i ordered 2 for my metal bosses. if anyone has a battle armor metal boss for sale lemme know. thanks.

I was always under the impression that REX's color changes in dynamic lighting. It seems more gray in MGS 4 than it is in MGS 1 - where you can see a light-green shade in the hanger just before Snake's battle. Personally, I would have been happy with either a gray or green that represents REX in the games that it was featured. But the green that ThreeA chose is just too inaccurate, and way too bright.

I guess that we can always repaint if anything - although I probably won't be brave enough to do it with an expensive figure like this! :monkey1

I don't think anyone knows what color Rex is actually supposed to be. My guess is a blend of grey and green. The lighting used in the various games can make him range in color greatly.

nope. grey, he's grey.

lolol ok enough of that. Also once you see a 3a figure youll know you can't repaint that. Its the thing they do best, which is better than any other toy comapny. trust.

Anyway, every picture ive seen of the damn thing its a different colour. Once its brown then its green, then its dark grey, then its bright green. I guess we really wont know till its in our hands!

Well, that's exactly what I said in my first post about this, before someone decided to take an issue and blow it out of proportion. The pictures from around the conventions do have me concerned - since they don't match up with the pics that we've seen from the new prototype and from the model that Shinkawa was holding up several months ago.

I just hope that the bright green is attributed to over-saturation or too much contrast (eg. someone not configuring their camera correctly). I certainly hope that the actual model isn't like this :monkey1:

Anyway, I just want this thing to ship! It's my most anticipated figure of the year, and the one that has me the most worried as well :lol :monkey2.

Yeah, it seems iphones aren't very good at capturing correct colouring. That first pic you posted, the blue light in the cockpit s purple. Its weird how lighting can dramatically effect the colouring of this figure. I bet its been grey all along XD. Although i don't want it, that (1st)green looks nice for a varient.

Im still really pissed about the head articulation, i don't know why now when i didn't care as much in the beginning :S

Oh yeah, it's really messed up how they sacrificed the articulation in the head for electronics - I'm more annoyed about that than the color, to be honest! :lol. I think we're all just paying more attention to this figure now, because it's getting close to shipping (hopefully).

Can't believe that it's already been six months since the pre-orders (Bambaland and retail) and still no word from anyone over at ThreeA :monkey1.....................

Im surprised its only been 6 months. I remember pre-ordering Fighting JC, a 1/6th figure. If i recall correctly that took 8 months. before i kick off a **** storm 3A have also delivered figures after 2 days, so it vary on production. This is the highest selling and most complex 3A figure to date.
