Im surprised its only been 6 months. I remember pre-ordering Fighting JC, a 1/6th figure. If i recall correctly that took 8 months. before i kick off a **** storm 3A have also delivered figures after 2 days, so it vary on production. This is the highest selling and most complex 3A figure to date.

That's probably the most awesome looking sacrilegious figure that I've ever seen. Looks nice - Ashley Wood really outdid himself with that one.

Seeing as how ThreeA is such a close-knit community with a hardcore following of niche figure collectors, I'd have expected them to be a little more forthcoming about release dates, and keeping people informed as to what's actually going on. Not that I blame Gimbat or any of the other mods on the ThreeA forum - they just get information when it's passed down to them from the higher ups.

"BLASPHEMY!! ASH KNOWS BESTZZZZ"

Ughhh... stupid lights should not take priority over accuracy and articulation.

I am surprised and utterly appalled. How dare anyone criticize Great Dear Leader Ash. Aren't there laws on the Internet against that? You sir, have disrespected the preeminent being of our time.

He makes high quality collectibles, but c'mon man nothing from him or customer service... I know it was never truly going to be August... then how about speaking up on it?

One soundbyte is not asking alot.

I know I know, I was just thinking aloud about this whole REX thing... it's getting comical at this point with nothing said to the buyers...

Oh man tell me about it. It's funny how everyone just went AWOL. Gimbat promised a status update for mid September, but he hasn't been seen on the ThreeA forum for a while (avoiding the matter I guess). Ash is never there either. They probably won't be shipping it out for a while :(.

This delay on top of the fact that it's ****ing head doesn't turn

Well, if they're delaying REX to fix the head among other things (eg. the color if it's incorrect) , then I'd be happy. Although I wouldn't hold my breath. Just seems like a standard production delay from ThreeA - judging from what Zombie was describing.

If all their **** is delayed, how about when you annouce the estimated ship date you throw in a 2 month buffer?

Their way into production to correct the articulation at this point. These stupid lights were not worth it...

I wonder how many people will even display it with the lights on. I'm willing to bet that a lot of folks are just going to switch it on, and then turn it off several minutes later when it gets "old". It's a cheap gimmick that shouldn't have taken priority over REX's functionality. Added to the fact that LEDs also have a limited life span and will eventually burn out - which defeats the purpose of displaying it with the lights on for prolonged periods (for those who choose to display REX like that) :slap.

Theres got to be another reason why they would do that. Its way too retarded for me to accept that they would swap articulation for some ****ty light feature...

Anyway as i said before delays are common place with 3A, i would have been surprised if it came out on schedule to be honest. Anyway Gimby confirmed that its in its final stage, so i think we'll hear about shipping within 2 weeks (Just IMO!)

Not to mention that it isn't very good idea to leave batteries inside a expencive collectors model kit. I have removed battiries from every TF-toy I have.

Though this model is way too expencive for me, so I rather buy that smaller model kit. I actually like building and painting those.

does anyone know if the koto kit can be displayed as mgs4 vers. i wanted to do that in my mgs4 section so i can display my 3a rex in the mgs1 section. i was gonna sit it by my RAHs

"I'll post an update about REX this week or it will be in VOX (ThreeA newsletter), which Ash is currently working on."

This is from Gimbat on the 3A forum. Finally, a update on REX. Here's hoping on a shipdate finally.
