I dont see what the big deal is. The snake pilot is only going to be like 1.5" tall.
I bought a 1/48 scale helicopter model for $10.00. I got 4 pilots now...

Just kinda the principle of putting that much money down and waiting this long only to find out that there is some better version out there. I'll probably buy a recast version if its aesthetically worth it and not stupid expensive.

In terms of resale and collectibility down road exclusive and limited editions are almost always the way to go. I think no matter what 3A rex is going to be a killer on the resale market though.

Yup, I generally default to the more limited versions. But I'll be honest, I never buy anything to resell it. Knowing how much I enjoy things like this I would feel immoral buying pieces just to charge fans of an IP more money than a reseller would...although the market is so obviously there. Hopefully I don't run into any financial hardships in the future that would necessitate me getting rid of what I've built up.

thanks man. these look great im so glad i POd this thing. it looks kinda bland all srunched up and pressed down though. i wish they articulated it more. is that a spanner wrench to move the joints? i hope it isnt too fragile.

That's the retail REX, just want to make it clear that Bambaland orders are getting a different box and plus the pilot.

The wrench is for the legs, don't know how exactly yet though.

I'll bet it's for unlocking the legs to spread them in a pose and then locking them again in place. Probably the only way to ensure stability on such an expensive collectible.

I just hope that someone could make a detailed Liquid Snake pilot to go with the MGS 1 version REX. I don't think I'll ever strip off the panels and remove the rail gun for the MGS 4 REX configuration, so I doubt that I'll ever need the Old Snake figure.

Yeah, that would be great. I think that photo might be a better representation of the actual color of the REX model. I hope...

Wait a second, on closer inspection, I think they sent me an empty sealed box without a solid snake! I might have to open the box to investigate what is going on..

Yeah I had seen that, you can strip the left leg down to nothing, even in MGS4 it wasn't that bare. It was only missing the armor but with the 3A REX you can go all the way to the bare skeleton.

I hope the right leg could be done alittle as well.
Having damage only on the left side would be rather strange especially
if anyone is going for the mgs4 ver like me.

Solidus looks good, i have to make up my mind choosing between being
broke with IronMonger or Solidus with some remaining savings.
