coz i can't think of any other good reasons why they threw the box. i mean there's few folks here whom actually throws away the toy just to keep the box.

yes boxes are that highly sought after. so unless they have extreme reasons not enabling them to keep the boxes, why not keep the boxes?

btw it's faster to google the image than going to ebay and do a search on the guy and actually going into the link. the image was like the top 5 result. the fact that many PK figures sellers come from Hong Kong doesn't help diminish my guess.

Guess i was wrong. So why would a guy from California throw away those highly valued boxes & kept the not so great figures instead boggles ma mind.

central south carolina. i dont get the point of telling me this info. is it just the first thing that comes to mind and you feel it needed light? why do i have to research your answer? i bet it took you longer to find that pic of chinese living than it would have to go to ebay and type the persons name in. you came up with a scenario just to hear yourself speak. i dont get it, i really dont.

So glad I got rid of him got Ada instead.

Solid Snake is one of those characters that will always sell out when made into a figure and then he becomes extremely pricey. Before he came out as a PAK figure, I would have never guessed he would become so expensive. If they made a Hot Toys one I will make sure to Pre-Order on day one. Will even consider the revoltech one as well.

Makes you wonder why he isn't more produced than just a figure here and there, while Big Boss figures are everywhere and usually just sit on retailer sites forever.

There are ones by McFarlane, Yamato, and Medicom too.

Those just weren't exactly quality figures.

Yes, the only Snake figure in recent memory of quality was the PAK. But that's just one Snake figure, compared to five Big Boss PAK variants ( GZ version isn't out yet) two Revoltech (GZ version isn't out yet) and one Hot Toys figure.

Anybody want to take a guess how many more bigboss figures we will be getting? I know that Punnished snake should be coming out in the near future. Let's just hope he will be the last...

The McFarlane Solid Snake did not sell out, in fact both Solid Snake from 1 & 2 did not sell out, well they eventually did but it took few years to.

The Konami 12" Solid Snake didn't sell well, granted 1/6 weren't that hot back then but it was THE ONLY 12" Solid Snake available and nobody cared about him.

Sure today both McFarlane & Konami Solid Snake cost a bomb, but which Solid Snake doesn't?

Not sure about those trading figures & medicom fixed figure. I think it took a while to sell them.

Say if HT made a Solid Snake using Big Boss's sculpt as base, would you still consider it?

Wait, you're from Kuala Lumpur? :lol

Yeah, why?
And idk, I kind of like the real life take on Big Boss. He doesn't look too shabby to me. To each his own I guess.

I do have to say though that I somehow always liked Big Boss more than the others. Maybe because he's the original. Or just maybe because I loved Snake Eater the most.
