Yeah, why?
And idk, I kind of like the real life take on Big Boss. He doesn't look too shabby to me. To each his own I guess.

I do have to say though that I somehow always liked Big Boss more than the others. Maybe because he's the original. Or just maybe because I loved Snake Eater the most.

Same here man :hi5:

The McFarlane Solid Snake did not sell out, in fact both Solid Snake from 1 & 2 did not sell out, well they eventually did but it took few years to.

The Konami 12" Solid Snake didn't sell well, granted 1/6 weren't that hot back then but it was THE ONLY 12" Solid Snake available and nobody cared about him.

Sure today both McFarlane & Konami Solid Snake cost a bomb, but which Solid Snake doesn't?

Not sure about those trading figures & medicom fixed figure. I think it took a while to sell them.

Say if HT made a Solid Snake using Big Boss's sculpt as base, would you still consider it?

The reason those figures didn't sell well is they were horribly ugly! MetalGear is a much bigger name now with a bigger fan base.

Look how well the MGS1 Snake/Fox figures sold out.... very. While i can still get the BigBoss figures for cheap now, thats gotta tell em something.

I really hope HotToys surprise us and make a SolidSnake sooner rather than later

McFarlane's MGS1 Snake had a Tom Hanks fro.

I'm from KL too man! :hi5:

Someone is inquiring about my MGS Kubricks, how much should I ask for them?

I have Old Snake(no mask), MGS1 Snake, Gray Fox, Liquid Snake, Naked Snake in Sneaking suit with skull camo, Solidus, Liquid Ocelot, PMC guy, MGS4 Raiden. They are all complete.

Didnt HotToys say it was MGS4 Raiden? Not to complain but i was hoping for OldSnake along side him :(. Im super-duper pumped though, YEEEEAAAHAHHH!

And Revoltech Solid Snake!? Finally the figures im wanting!

So.. it looks like I am gonna get all the Revoltech MGS figures after all, if I manage to get the money to pay for that and Hot Toys Raiden. This is starting to look like a gleeful but also painful (for the wallet) year for MGS fans. :p

Kojis Twitter, they modeled this perfectly!

Greatness. I already commented on it, but this I need. If the end result for consumers will be anything close to that accuracy, it'll be perfect. With a few fixes like bigger HF blade and sheath and lighter hair colour.

McFarlane MGS weren't that bad for the 1st series, the 2nd looked abit bland but still quite good, in fact it bears close resemblance to the 1st game. We're talking about MGS PS1 not Twin Snake. I think they were done pretty good minus the articulation, for something that old. People did chase after it after the game got bigger.

I think some folks got bored of the series after MGS4 due to some shift from stealth to more Gung-Ho style. It's still a stealth based game but more forgiving if you messed up.

I don't mind seeing lots of Big Boss figures, as long as they're suitably different. The Peace Walker ones were well made, but they were a little too similar. At least the GZ and TPP ones will be visually distinctive.

The big missing piece in the Play Arts MGS collection is Ocelot, he badly needs a figure in this line. McFarlane made two! Maybe he'll get one in TPP line.

Although i got the sneaking suit BigBoss, i really didnt like those figures. They thankfully improved greatly after the PeaceWalker figures

I disagree. I was a big fan of McFarlane stuff back then. I heard they were doing MetalGear and was pumped but the sorely disappointed. Some of them were good though, like Ocelot and Raiden. But in comparison to what they were doing then it wasn't that great, sculpt wise. But it did hold true to their quality at least

I still say GZ BB is a huge step down from the PW sculpts, which looked great. It's weird, how do you honestly step back? All they need to do is remove the bandana. Plus the hair looks shorter than it does in game.

I do see some differences in the PW BBs, in a few ways. I heard that they use different hinges in some parts, and that Battle Dress BB has a different head sculpt. (Some guy actually got a Sneaking Suit Boss with the Battle Dress head sculpt :lol )

The MGS1 were good, i mean they didn't really have much to refer to other than the pixellated face from the PS1 games.

I think MGS2 Solidus was good too. Olga & the other lady were meh, Solid Snake was abit plain, but he was pretty plain in the PS2 graphics.

Hey everyone! A bit off topic but wanted to ask you experts while I remember ;) I've got a RAH squares camo snake. Love it to bits but upon moving my collection recently I found that the shoulder had literally disintegrated on this figure... The joint was smashed and crumbling. What is the best and easiest way to switch out this figure's base? Any recommendations for a cheap, easy to integrate replacement?

is this even possible? i know some shoulders are fragile & some came with broken shoulders out of the box, but crumbling on it's own?
