I'm a huge fan of the Japanese manga Crows and a collector of the merchandise too, and there are only a few ways to get them stateside because noone imports them.

Anyways, I noticed that there are a lot of Japan-based eBay stores in general that charge ridiculous prices for Crows stuff too...

Someone paid $60 plus shipping. . .for this. . .

Honestly, if I had the income, I probably would have to. It's an item that's actually in the game so that instantly gives it some sort of status, you know? It's hard to explain but it's just one of those hang-ups on accuracy; like when I was a kid I hated halloween costumes that had the logo on the front of the costume. That's now how it is in He-Man and that's not how it should be on my costume.

So because the Kerotan looks exactly like how it does in the game, that immediately makes me want it that much more as opposed to if it had METAL GEAR SOLID 3 KEROTAN BANK on the front of it in big, obnoxious, red letters.

Maybe it just makes me feel better about being a whore to the conglomerates, gobbling up any and all merchandise I can get my greasy little paws on :D

Well, the prices for the UDF's on Ebay aren't that high. Considering that for the first wave of UDF's, I originally paid about $30 per figure at Entertainment Earth, and the total cost for my figure set was around $200 in all.

I definitely WON'T buy from those sellers though :lol.

Hey, collecting for collecting's sake is one of the least rational behaviors that I know of, and in hindsight, I shouldn't have posted that. If it is something that you love from Metal Gear and are willing to pay that much, power to you! Honestly, I've paid more for single Kubricks in my day, which makes about as much (if not less) sense.

But still, $60 for a plastic frog bank is a little crazy :D

Does it make the funny sound they make in MGS3 when you shake it?

Btw guys, I need some advice. Since I already have the RAH version of Raiden, should I also purchase the UDF Raiden? The problem is that my RAH Raiden won't be to scale with the Vamp figure (so I can't place those two figures side-by-side).

Well, if you want a Raiden to be in scale with your Vamp, I guess so. But if you only want one toy representation of each character, I guess not. If you really like Raiden, I say go for it. If you don't, don't.

Based on your username/avatar, I'm guessing you are a pretty serious fan, so. . .if you can afford it, why not?

In the final analysis, might you regret it if you don't buy it? Better to err on the side of caution, I say.

Sigh... if finance wasn't the issue, I wouldn't even think twice before getting an MGS figure :lol (I don't even believe that thinking would be involved). But, I guess you're right. It's better to get Raiden and Vamp together, so that I can have a complete set with them. Thanks :D

And yeah, I'm a pretty serious fan. I've been suffering from "Metal Gearitis for a few years already, and the symptoms have not died down :sick. It's probably gotten a bit worse now.

Yeah, I paid $100 plus apiece for the secret Raiden and the Olive Drab Snake Kubricks myself and even though I shake my head at that sometimes I still have some sort of perverse pride :lol

Yeah, pretty much :D

Nope, cause that would add at least a good $50 to the price :lol

As hardcore a Metal Gear fan I am... I stayed away from the UDF's; just too expensive. I might get one of the newer ones, but I just don't have the income to justify $30 a pop. I'll stick to the Kubricks for now.

I'm gonna have a hard time not picking up the new "Big Boss" "UDF" figure. I don't have any others, but this new one looks too great to pass up.

Same,i recently sold my UDF figures because i think they are garbage,if you pushed your finger gently on the plastic box it immediately started to detach from the card, its really annoying.Allthough i will pick up the Big Boss and The Boss figures,i love MGS3 and these 2 characters.

Will pick up the whole set of Kubricks though.

The best Set made yet...Liquid,Solidus,MGS4 Mask,Ocelot, plisskin Snake,PMC Soldier!

How can you pass on this set?!I definitely wont!

Seeing as how you guys are dissing on the UDF figures, I may have to reconsider getting them :lol. After all, if the collection community does not hold high opinions to certain figures, then those figures may not be worth getting. Anyways, does anyone know when the Kubricks will be up for pre-order?

Well, it looks like Rock had an issue, but it was with how well the box stays together, not the figures themselves.

Over at Kubrick Nation, they said the Kubs should be released in September. However, you can pre-order a set of 6 from that guy on EBay right now, if you don't mind paying about $200 more than they will cost once they are released.

Well its not just the boxes,i had 3 of them loose and they kept falling down, they cant stand on their own,and if you turn the head once it gets all loose, nice details and the MGS4 figs look awesome but the quality is very poor.

When i see the stance of Raiden and Vamp they cant possibly be able to stand on their own,no chance:)
