Fine, I relent about what Kojima endorses :lol. Just wish he endorsed David Hayter for the new MGS LOL.

But, again, that really isn't Philanthropy. There was never a lecture in MGS 2 about the "evils" of nuclear weapons, and declaring war against nations who chose to develop them. Their group was just out to stop Metal Gear prototypes from being developed, through espionage and leaking information to the press - after Ocelot leaked the schematics of REX to various governments around the world.

In other words, Otacon and Snake were trying to wrap up what started in Shadow Moses with REX, and clean up the mess that Ocelot had created.

This movie is pretty decent for what it is, though. At least they didn't have a fat Snake like many of the cosplayers :monkey1. Snake's actor did a pretty good job. Some of the girls were also pretty, too.

You and me both :(:hi5:

Makes sense, creative liberties were taken to expand upon it is all I suppose.

Fat Snake :lol I like how the guy who's behind the project managed to look a lot like Snake in costume as well and that was a big plus in my book.

"Hero of Time" :lol

I forgot, they even managed to get Aoife Ní Fhearraigh, who sang the song "The Best is Yet to Come" at the end of MGS1 to sing "Will There Be an End" for the ending theme to this movie. That's pretty bad *** to boot!

That alone makes me want to see this now! :monkey4

Don't ever post that picture again! Not ever! I'm still trying to forget that thing even happened :monkey1

:lol

It's just a cool thing when a fan-film can do something like this. Now all they need to do is convince Hayter to do the voice dubbing for free! :horror

I was kinda put off by the whole, "We'll call our movie Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy, but we're not actually Philanthropy, oh... and The Undertaker LULZ!".

But, what the heck. I'll give this a second chance.

"Let's fighting love!" :hi5:

That's the spirit! Gotta appreciate some things for what they are, it's not like they didn't try!

just bought these on ebay to use as a knee brace for my big boss since the metal boss one is garbage. what are your thoughts?

nope. ill have plenty of extra if others want them though. they were really cheap. i hope they look right. imo they look very similar to the RAH knee pads.

Could anybody help me out? I'm planning to swap the body of the Yamato Solid Snake but I have no idea what body to go for. There are plenty of cheap BBI bodies for sale here but I'm not sure if they are up to scale with Hot Toys.

Does anybody know what body would suit Solid Snake?

I like using the HT TTM19, not as posable as others but proportions and overall silhouette is good.

Thanks Jack! Perhaps I'll go with the TTM19 then. Just bought a new Phicen body minutes ago, somebody pointed out my Meryl was too erm, big. :lol

Another one with a bit more poseablility is the HT Chris reeve body. I used it for the MGS2 Snake mock up in my customs thread.

That's super expensive where I live! (The whole figure itself though, is not). What's your opinion on those BBI bodies, Jack? Any good? Do they scale up with Hot Toys?

BBi isn't bad, but I've always chopped mine up and heavily modified them to get better proportions. The arms tend to snap at the shoulder joint as well.

The link you posted is a black man body first off, and personally, I don't care for soldier story bodies (many do) unless modified - I shorten the forearms, lengthen the torso, grind down the shoulders a bit and pad the whole thing out with foam tape "muscles".

Got it Jack, thanks! Will get the TTM19 then, sounds like the best one to use. I also saw a seamless muscle body for Liquid (CM Toys 1/6 Muscle Body HJ001/2). So tempted to get one! Already spent a lot on customizing these figures- 3 Phicen bodies, crapload of art supplies, primers, gloss paint, epoxy putty etc. Hope I can start working on them this week!

I'd save your money on the CMToys....it's really not worth it. I have one and its a very weird, zombie-like skin tone. You'd be better served finding an older HT rubber muscle body or taking a TTM19 and sculpting over the torso to make it seamless.
