Well, I did a more extensive look - saw a few sets in Japan/China, but they wanted 125 plus 20 to 30 dollars shipping. I will wait for BBTS to get them for that price (82.99 plus standard shipping). One US seller had 4 of them - missing Snake Eater version. I e-mailed him to ask about a set of 5 - like I said, I am not going to waste a lot of money being impatient. A set of 5 or I wait it out til BBTS or Amazingtoys gets them in stock.

Yeah thats true, all of them want 130++,im gonna wait as well, ill wait for bbts.

Small pic, but it looks like they will be spot on with the stock pics. Thanks. I just can get myself to pull away from 1:6 scale.

I would have blown the $130 plus for these figures if they would have been made into 12" RAH figures. Why they didn't do this, I don't know. I wish the Old Snake would have been made like the original Medicom Snakes!!!! :monkey2

In all honesty, they might have ended up just as bad as Old Snake, since MGS2 and Raiden both have similar body suits to Old Snake. Not to mention Octagon and Old Snake have the body suits they already screwed up with 12" Old Snake. 7" sculpted seems the route to go with these types of characters.

If only Hot Toys could have picked up the license...:monkey5

Then we would have avoided the Cartoonish look on these figures,MGS3 snakes are awesome, but the paintjob is very cartoonish,Hot Toys would have killed Medicom on those.

Problem being Medicom makes a huge number of Konami licensed figures. I highly doubt Medicom would have looked favorably on Konami farming out their most popular license to another vendor ... and that's assuming that HT could have afforded the license. Besides, the majority of Asian collectors prefer the Medicom "cartoony" look. The problem is not with the face on Old Snake, it with the body and suit. No wrist articulation on a 200 dollar figure? Forget that.

But what I was saying was I wish that Old Snake would have been done like the orignial RAH Snakes. I wished that Medicom would have used the tight fitting rubber suits like on my military figures. They pose amazing and look good with the rubber muscle suits and no exposed joints. And that's how I would have wanted the 5-Pack of figures to be done as well, but alas, Medicom hates it's fans.

So after Raiden, no more Medicom becasue SSC is doing the armored SW figures!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Rock82, I'm with you. I would have loved for HT to get this line. Then this figure would have been worth $200 IMO. I just got him cuase I'm a fanatic.

I think it's sick! But that's just my opinion. You really have to get this figure in your hands before judging it. It definitely looks as good as Naked Snake imo.
Even a bit more impressive...

I should be getting Old Snake tomorrow, and even though there are negative posts, I still cant wait. Not sure what it is...maybe I'm just a big Metal Gear freak. For those that own him, is it easy to get him in the pose that all the stock photography have him in? Thats how I want him to stand along with my Zombie Snake that is in a CQC pose. I'll try to get some pics up for those who are on the fence.

Dude, I am a huge MGS fan...and trust me the figure sucks. Seriously lower those hopes. I am not trying to be a jerk I am just stating the truth, Snake can't even hold his knife in any CQC pose. It's that bad. His knife is really bendable and good luck on posing him without his sneaking suit warping wanting to bend back to it's original shape. Trust me I wanted to blow the big bucks on this figure. I still have Raiden on order, :(

also toyanxiety has him in stock, give them a call if you'd like 602-308-0292.

Christ, how big is this game gonna be, or how long that they couldn't fit it on a Blu-Ray disc. That's just crazy. The only game that might have been close to this long on a console was Shen-Mu!

Well, hopefully the graphics don't suffer from what we've seen already, as they are some of the best I've seen on the Next-Gen consoles.

And I could care less about there being different VOs in the game. I speak English and hardly any Japanese anymore, so I'm fine with just English in my game.

Not nessacaraly The game could be 20 min long, but have incredable graphics, and phenominal ai, and that is where all the space goes. Better graphics= higher poly count. highert poly count = more mem required.

Man, unless they have a real AI running in this game, it can't be that much more amazing than what we've seen from the newest Next-Gen games. And I understand that the better the graphics, the more space is required to get it there, but not 50GB worth of space or this game had better be photo realistic! Look at what they've done with an 8.5GB disc for the last 3 or 4 years.

While I know this game will be mind-blowing and I will be in line at midnight and taking 2 days off, but come on.... That means this game would theoretically be 6 times better looking and better playing then current Next-Gen titles.

I guess maybe if every single piece of background was rendered real-time and fully destructible, then maybe, but I don't see that happening, though one can wish.

I cant wait for this, I am currently playing through Snake Eater again, I'm about half way through. I plan on playing MGS1 and 2 leading up to 4. Might as well do it chronologically!

Then don't forget the NES game (Snake's Revenge doesn't count) and the MSX version of Metal Gear 2. They are found on MGS3:Snake Eater Subsitence.
