Lastly, I think I'm in the minority on this one but I think the head sculpt looks nothing like the character as Miller drew him in Dark Knight Returns and is kind of just flat out ugly.

Well you already said, you're in the minority, and of course it's your opinion and that's cool. But the sculptors even said that because there was such a wide range of looks for Batman that Miller drew in the 4 books they tried to basically make an amalgation that's not really scene-specific. Personally, I think it works, especially with the deep wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. If I had one minor quibble I'd prefer the bat-ears to be a little more pronounced, but when I look at both head sculpts I see Miller's work, without a doubt.

What I think is interesting though is all these pics showing Batman aiming a rifle and a pistol. To the layman that's never read the book it must look kind of ridiculous cause everyone knows that Batman despises firearms and only uses them as a last resort. But WE all know that both weapons are just grappling guns/harpoons. Still....gotta admit....looks cool as hell to see him posed with the weapons.

I am absolutely loving the pics of the previews exclusive and can't wait til I get mine. Fingers crossed I don't get another lemon. I LOVE how Miller was drawing the Adam West 60's style symbol but slightly stylized to his own aesthetics, and I think Mezco nailed the look 100%.

I am very much looking forward to having the pre and post "Mutant Leader Fight" Batmans on my shelf!!

Oh...and I love the way the batarangs "pop" more in the blue hands since they don't blend in as much as on the black hands.....I ALWAYS loved those deadly little batarangs Miller designed....very very cool...

I think it would have been cool if each of the three versions had two different heads each. That would have solved the varying looks throughout the book.

Personally, I dig the neutral headsculpt. Not a fan of the one that's showing teeth though. Every figure I've unpacked, I pop the teethy angry head off and pop on the regular. I don't like the teeth or the black paint, it looks like he's ready to spit up some black blood.

Well, my Previews version arrived yesterday. This is one AWESOME figure, and, like many have said in this thread and elsewhere- pictures or videos really don't do it justice. Having it in hand makes all the difference.

With that said, I was pretty bummed out soon after opening it yesterday evening. I wanted to display him in a jumping/falling pose using the stand and cape posing accessories. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that one of the arms of my cape posing accessory is very loose where it connects to the cape poser's clip, so it doesn't hold the cape in hardly any position. As I was struggling with it, that side of the cape came untucked/undone from underneath the figure's head/cowl, which doesn't look very good at all as it hangs loose off his neck and doesn't match the other side.

This isn't necessarily a deal-breaker like some of the issues I've seen with the figure online (holes in arms, ripped stitches), but it's very disappointing, as I was SO looking forward to this figure- it's the highest quality figure I've ever purchased.

I've contacted Mezco about sending a replacement cape posing accessory and I described the loose cape issue, but I don't know if they'll be able to do anything about it for me. Anyone here have any other ideas or ways I could fix it the loose cape? How is the cape attached to the plastic part of the cowl (below his chin) in the first place?

I never even took that cape posing thing outta the box...but didn't people say you need to tighten the screws?

I have always been envious of collectors with the 1:6 custom versions of Miller's Batman. I missed out on those releases. When I saw this previewed at the recent SDCC and other Toy shows, this was a MUST-have. Luckily I got one, just the regular BW release--I would love the Blue and Grey, but oh-well. I primarily collect 1:6 scale, but every once and a while, something iconic like this comes along.

Great pictures and dioramas people; keep the photos and great set-ups coming!!

Too bad I'm hearing problems with people and the cape accessory yes it's a pain but once you get used to it, it has a dynamic to the figure. IMO I like the way it looks on the blue just a tad better than on the black:lecture

My only gripe is they should've made the rod s the same real bluish color to blend in more, but that's a minor nitpick

Mezco shipped my exclusive out of nowhere. I was actually a bit annoyed because I was expecting the PX version I had ordered to arrive this week(sitting at the post office for 4 days now o_O) and was gonna leave the exclusive sealed in the box. I tore it open and thought I had received the wrong item until I looked at the shipping label

Haha, I know. Seems to be ok. I didn't take him out to examine or anything. I have the black one already and he was great. I kind of wish I could mix the darker blue with the oval bats

Got my mezco exclusive yesterday. Didn't have a ton of time to examine thoroughly but he seems to be perfect. I do love the dark blue color scheme! The PX exclusive arrives Monday so I will be set.
