Yea good video. It founds like the flack has gotten back to them and they know things need to be polished up.

I take back what I said about keeping this strictly TDKR. I'd be interested in Thundarr also and I think that illustration style will lend itself perfectly to this format the same way TDKR does.

I agree, Space Ghost is the best looking one, but still doesn't look like a $65 figure at all if you compare it to the master piece that is Batman.

Actually, looking at Franky, the monsters could have potential too. I just don't think that this format suits every and any character but it sounds like their goal is to expand on this further than the licenses we're already aware of. I guess we'll have to see what Spok & Kirk look like to get a better taste.

And I agree, SG does look the best of that batch. If he gets polished up like he said in the interview, then he could be up there with Bats

They couldn't find TDKR Clark Kent to get his approval for his likeness.

At first I was really excited about the prospect of a Keaton Batman in this scale, but now I just don't think they could pull it off with the proper materials at this size. It could end up being a completely rubber-encased figure like the Hot Toys, or all-fabric? Getting a fabric/plastic hybrid at such a small scale, and having it look GOOD? I don't know.

I had faith they could pull if off a year ago, but seeing the mess they had on display, now I don't think so.

And as for BvS...those costumes are clearly rubber suits on the actors. Head to toe. They have details sculpted into them. That would simply NOT work on fabric outfits in a 6 inch scale. To be accurate to the movie suits it would HAVE to be rubber or hard plastic, which defeats the purpose of the One:12 in the first place. I'm hoping some Japanese company can put out a really nice 6 inch Affleck Batman, cause even though the Mattel prototypes looked better than anticipated...come on...it's Mattel!! The final products are gonna be hot garbage. Anyway...I digress.

Any pics/reviews of the SDCC Batman/Mutant Leader in hand? Or was this one of those "it's not ACTUALLY on sale at the shows" show exclusives?

I don't think that's the case, MoS was slightly sculpted foam muscle to accentuate muscles and the fabric on top of that, BvS Superman seems to be the same, with a bit more sculpted foam muscles underneath the actual fabric, the more heavily sculpted one seems like it's Batman, but it's still fabric on top.

And Hot toys managed to recreated it in the MoS figure perfectly, so I have more faith in the BvS designs than in the Keaton one.

I feel like NECA's Keaton Batman will be hard to top. I really wish NECA would have received a chance to do more DC characters in 6 inch scale. Their Heroes of the Storm figures look excellent. Mattel's figures just look terrible.

Well between Hot Toys 1/6" Batman, NECA's 1/4 and 7" Batman and Mattel's 4" Batman, they should have plenty of reference on how to approach a Keaton Batman.

NECA's is good, the best thing about it is how they approached the one piece, flexible cowl and chest armor. It was ingenious really. The things that hurt the figure is how spindly it looks and how fragile it is, not to mention that infamous bad posture thing he's got going on that most of their figures suffer from. Hot Toys' did a great job with the durability, detail and the figure's accessories. I loved how the grapple gun split in two and could be attached to his belt via magnet or that great steel gauntlet with the line launchers that really folded. I still don't get how they managed to find a spring small enough to make that work and not look bad. The drawback with the Hot Toys one is of course, that inaccurate, restrictive one piece rubber suit and that damn PERS panel.

If Mezco could somehow combine the two, which is the whole point of the one:12 line, they have potential to make a pretty great movie Batman. I'd love to see a black fabric leotard/swimsuit, with soft plastic armor over top of it like NECA tried to do with plastic on plastic with the chest plate. It could really be authentic. It's something Hot Toys should have attempted after their DX 12/Armory Batman in my opinion.

So....anyone have the boxed set? Pics?

Saw a pic on ebay of the box...looked cool. Silhouette of Batman's face from the book.

Also, has it been mentioned that the Mutant Leader that was on display presumably as a single release had a new head sculpt?

Here's a pic...sorry...can't remember which site I got it from.
