Weeellll.....perspective is good and healthy, sure. But whether or not Logan has shoulder pads *is* important within the (very) narrow context of collecting items related to characters that resonate with you.

Important due to aesthetics and/or the fictional context and history of the character. If you dig it, fine.

Personally I hate their aesthetic treatment of DD and Wolverine, but I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it, just won't buy 'em.

My distaste for their designs is based on a combination of aesthetics and historical/fictional context. My sense of perspective allows me to playfully vent my nerd-rage with like-minded folk and get on with my life.

Not certain if you read anything or just posting dislike of Mezflair?

Point I disagreed on was labeling folks as fan or non fans because some enjoy mezflair.

I've never said mezflair is good or bad. I'll look at what's available and if flair isn't too bad I have no problem purchasing. I'm on record with majority on Wolverine....I won't buy it.

I really don't understand why people have to make numerous posts about the same complaint. Yes we know not all mezflair looks good. Yes we know we all like the original source material. Say your piece once then leave the rest of the people who actually like the figure alone. No need to force everyone to agree with your opinion, or hate on the people who like the figures you don't, or repeat your same complaints over and over.

I don't think Mezco's quality is in question just their design decisions...which suck in some cases, your mileage may vary.

Even though I despise the Mez Flair, I really enjoy the figures I have...and I have quite a few.

I personally think their product would be a ton better if they stuck to the source material. Hot Toys is the king of the hill because they faithfully reproduce the movie figures to exacting quality. If Mezco took the same approach with producing accurate comic renditions it would be phenomenal. Take the Classic Punisher and TDKR Batman. Those are/were wildly popular...and that's not to say their other offerings aren't popular obviously but they would be even more popular imo.

Punisher in all his variations is amazing, that's one character that lends itself to a wide variety of interpretations.

I'm only waiting to see if Classic will be released internationally, if not, I'll pull the trigger on any of the variants.

It's like it's ok for them to state their "piece" ad nauseum about how great the figures are but those who disagree need only state their peace once and move on

If people get "fed up" with the non-fan thing, then I must have hit close home, period, because I only said it once and it's been other people who keep bringing it up. I never called up or argued with anyone over liking the figures, I have no problem with people liking the figures, but people who like the figures seem to have a problem with those who don't and proceed to try and make it personal, it's always like that whether it's movies, dolls or anything.
