The thing is that contradicts what even Laird said about the Turtles. I would imagine that the ooze is what goes to create things like Bebop and Rocksteady (if they exist) or goes to what they are here for and not the creation of the Turtles themselves.

I'm trying to find the actual interview... I believe it was with Liebesman over the last few days (there's been tons though since he's doing press for Wrath of the Titans) but he mentioned that it's Eastman he's working with, and that the Ooze that created the Turtles was alien itself (in the original comics I'm assuming, never read them myself). Now maybe they're taking liberties with that and/or expanding on it, but if that's all this alien crap turns out to be then I'll be happy.

No, they're going to be Aliens. It's making it easier to understand why these things can talk, and have personality.

This has to appel to teens too. Teenagers don't like anything that isn't explained for them.

It has to make absolute sense. It can't be "They're mutants, who cares" any more.

Lack of imaginations, it seems. And if Bay wanted to make you happy, he'd lose a ton of money, as would the studio. Old, adult fans, do not make any money. A small percent, maybe.

I hear Bay is in talks to direct a new Titanic film. Instead of having to explain the geography behind why an iceberg was at sea Bay will simply appear at sea and blow a hole in the hull.
