That first movie is still one of the best and most true to the source material comic movies ever made, IMO.

In the original comics the 'ooze' from TCRI was made by aliens, but this new movie is making the turtles themselves aliens. That would be like in the Transformers movies, if instead of autobots and decepticons being alien life-forms, they were created in some guys garage.

I'll still hold judgement until I see the movie, but changing the origin so drastically does not bold well.

If Michael Bay were smart he'd start tweeting out links to those horrid TMNT videos posted in this thread with messages like "so you want the movie like this, right?" :)

I did not know this was made, but this is a Great movie cartoon, I Loved it
the turtles from the old 80s show are transported to the world of the New Turtles cartoon, lol, the 80s cartoon turtles are smaller, and sillier than the new ones, I Loved watching this, the shredder from the old cartoon appears as well, and is hilarious
O don't know if you guys have seen this already, but it was really cool

It really was a great little movie. Unfortunately, the only official release was an edited version on a non-anamorphic DVD. :monkey2

Google Turtles Forever and you'll find that official release or maybe something better. :monkey3

I didn't even know this existed, but I'm kinda glad someone uploaded to youtube,
I think my favorite parts were with Old Shredder lol, he is so dumb! he made me laugh the most
the ending was pretty sweet too, I didn't expect that :yess:

I hated how they depicted the older series turtles as annoying idiots instead of the badasses they were. 2k3 turtles weren't even on par with the classics

In what sense? Both were products of their time.

The 4Kids series was the best version of TMNT on television, imo. Better stories, characters with more depth, a more thought out "universe", I could go on. I love 'em both, but if I could only pick one, I'd go w/ the 4Kids 2003 series.

i know, plus it made me realize how showing their eyes was so much better, than just plain white eyes, i definitely prefer the older ones, but even their silliness here was better, the new ones were too serious, old shredder was better too, I mean, when you have them side to side, I don't know if is the nostalgia but the old turtles felt better to watch

80's/early 90's turtles are better in every single way.:lecture :yess: :D

Cheers man! :duff

Yeah - old / new, good / bad.. it's all relative to your own personal tastes. I loved the old cartoon. I was in school then, had a poster on my wall & everything. :lol

The original 1990 film is the shiz though.. it'll always be for me. :)

today I watched the first movie, i watched the cartoon and then watched the second movie,
and... making a Ninja turtles movie should not be that hard...
I think even someone like Bay could not mess this up (I Know hw is not directing, just saying)
I mean, silly ninja turtles that fight bad guys and shredder, eat pizza and live in sewers,
I mean, I know they are totally going to mess this up. but it shouldn't be too hard to do at least a decent movie....

^ Dude, it's going to be made for the new generation. I get getting pissed remaking a classic movie. But not for a cartoon any more. The old cartoon is yours. This new one is the new generation's. It might be godawful, but kids will love it. And that's all that matters/.
