Also that's the main issue of this movie (most adaptations, actually) - ignorant and amateur approach.

With such "face" they really are alien looking since even turtles has breathing holes on their snouts.

not to play devil's advocate or anything but the ugly Nostril version does look more realistic in the sense that they don't look so fake next to Megan Fox.

The photoshop version would make it look like when they did the smurfs or Alvin and the chipmunks and it looks really fake

Ugleh Nostrilz version does look more realistic in the sense that they don't look fake next to real person.

The problem is in the balance between human and turtle aspects.
They could keep it realistic w/o prominent lips and odd looking noses.
