Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I was born in the early 80s,I grew up on Thundercats Transformers HeMan Ghostbusters and Turtles so yeah that movie sucked bad.

I can't wait for the HeMan reboot. The more 80s reboots the better.

Hard to impress! You must have been one of those rich kids with a motorized mini-corvette or something!

Henson was a force of nature back then and growing up, I can't recall a single thing he did from the muppet show to his death that didn't command my respect.

I could never understand the appeal for He-man at all he look like a male stripper.

If Conan could get away with it, He-Man ought to. Problems are mainly:
1. Mattel
2. The name.
3. Short shorts.
4. Page boy haircut.
5. Epic aftertaste of 80's movie. (Think Judge Dredd)

If they could bring out a more primal, barbaric version like we saw in the mini-comics it might be worth it.

That early 90s movie is horrible. It's poorly scripted and convoluted. The new one is entertaining, that is ALL I implied.

Pretty much.

I felt the voice actors for Shredder Splinter Raphael and the others nailed it. It tried hard not to come off campy or cheesy and I feel it succeeded.

the original has a lot of charm and a lot of silly humor. the true meaning of "Family movie" a movie that anyone from a baby to a grandparent can enjoy. I would say the movie is actually a little more charming and child friendly that the cartoon was ironically enough.

but there is a lot with the movie that was pretty bad, the plot is very dumb, the action... there wasn't even any real action, it was more like the turtles goofing around with the bad guys. the cartoon actually had more serious plots and action scenes than the movie did. Shredder was kind of cheesy too.

the turtles movie to me is similar to the power rangers tv show. charming, funny, enjoyable, and people love it now because of the huge amount of nostalgia.

Yeah I'm going to pass on this movie but not because I have some crazy loyalty to the first films. I don't like the story and the designs. I see a lot more bad reviews than good reviews. There hasn't been anything that's convinced me that this isn't just an appeal-to-the-lowest-common-denominator-you-have-to-take-the-kids-so-give-me-your-money film and I'm not going to feed the machine.

Have you seen the originals lately? They are HORRIBLE. Anyone that says those films are better than this is smoking something..

The original was made 14 years ago. Another person who bashes the original to justify seeing Bay's turtles.

Plus anyone with an eye for movies can see that Bay had way more control in this film as a producer than Spielberg did as producer on Transformers.

I really think Johnathon Liebesman deserves some fire as well. He really sucks as a director. He cannot tell a lucid, consistent narrative on film. Wrath of the titans, Battle LA, tmnt....all have poor directing. Then you add Michael Bay to this and you get what we got. I honestly give this movie a C+. while I enjoyed the action and choreography, I thought there were HUGE plot holes. Like huge...

Would like another with different director. The reshoots really messed with the flow of the movie. They cut quite a bit out of the movie. It really seemed like people who perviously didn't gIve a **** about tmnt tried to make this movie.

that is exactly what it is.....I think everyone should save their money and if they have to see it,Wait for On-demand and just rent it

Even as a kid I couldn't lie to myself on what a steamy pile of crap that movie was.

They should've killed off April with her non acting non attractive ass.

I think you need to watch the film again... She had a better figure than Megan Fox, imo. Nice legs too. She din't have an ugly face either, she just wasn't wearing a ton of makeup. Also, the crazy 80's/90's hair made her look a bit weird.
