Why not? Anyway, Nolan Batman > Tim Burton Batman. But even if you think Burton set the benchmark...someone did it, so there's no reason why someone can't do the same for TMNT. It has to start somewhere, and if Tim Burton did it with Batman, then a talented filmmaker and writer can do the same for TMNT.

The 89 batman wasn't the first Batman film, and if Batman can survive Batman and Robin, which is worse than any of the TMNT movies, then the TMNT don't have a problem. Remember the Capt. Ameria film from 1990? It's worse than any TMNT film, and this year we got the Winter Soldier, with A list actors and the film was critically acclaimed. There's no such thing as "they blew the first chance".

Betting ALOt of people waited for the first weekend reviews to see how it played out. like i keep saying, this weekend will tell the tale of what's gonna happen.

The movie was just average. It had it's moments, but I think the younger crowd (I know it's PG-13) will enjoy it the most.

Watched this film today. I thought it was actually quite good. The turtles came across quite good onscreen.
Not as bad as I thought. Was well surprised.

When I saw this on Monday, the audience was pretty much 50% kids 50% adults. The kids really seemed to enjoy it at the end but the adults were all pretty quiet when leaving. When Guardians ended, everyone was all talking about it.

Why are people comparing this movie to Guardians? Seriously they came out together but its not like they are on par with each other. We all know guardians is the better film. TMNT has been around for years so of course its making money and kicked GOTG off its num 1 spot. I dont know why people thought tmnt would be such a huge bomb. Its crappy movie but its fun and kids and adults like it. Its been around for years and is a cultural phenomenon and has a ton of nostalgic value. This film wasnt going to be number two to GOTG at all. The Nick show and toyline are doing huge numbers now. Everyone should be gratful GOTG is a success its not well known like tmnt is but it still is the better movie and did really well
