Not really. If its somthing like ninja turtles then he would be bashed for it. nobodys gonna see whats not familiar to them its like you said. Only bay riders are going to see those horrible movies, its funny becuase they are alot of bayriders on the bay forum its quite sad. Unlike transformers Tmnt was a phenomonon that stuck with one origin and one premise, ooze and turtles fighting the foot. I bet people wont go see that crapfest movie if that was the script becuase unlike transformers (which also has a large fanbase but not as big as the turtles) people know the premise becuase everyone and there mother knows about tmnt. When the first transformers movie came out i had a general idea what it was about autobots vs decepticons and thats what I saw in the first movie and when i became a fan i found out the movies didnt really portray the transformers as they should. So if bay changes the tmnt into goverment ops agents it will be hated and probaly wont make that much at the box office. You cant sit here and tell me that with all the tmnt incarnations over the years and a new show coming on the 29th that people will just sit here and accept a complete change of the characters. Why else did you think they delayed this movie, why else do you think bays stupid announcment was on every news site and blog all over the world? Its becuase people wont just sit there watch as beloved characters become another victim of a trendy change.
Hell lets have bay change batman into a real batman while we're at it. Micheal bay cant get away with everything.
