I like the first Bad Boys. It was a fun buddy action comedy. The second was way to over the top(for me). Transformers 1-3 are horrible. I love The Rock.

Do I think he is a terrible director? Yes. But even I acknowledge he didn't write the crap. He fails to elevate it beyond being crap though. He fails to get anything from his actors.

Is he the worst Director working right now.... He is certainly in the running. But even that title is subjective to taste. He's not mine.

:goodpost:

here are the others:

I do wish Bay was directing this. I really do, he would at least make the movie look cool.

Nothing good can come from Jonathan Liebesman. He is the worst director working right now.

He's pretty bad... Wrath wasn't THAT bad IMO... but Battle LA was dreadful...

The problem I have is he's just the typical whipping boy. It doesn't make you a better film fan if you hate Michael Bay. It just makes you cliche.

Not saying you have to be a fan or anything. It's just the typical "OMGZ BAY **** HIM WORST EVER" is just so old. Considering he just made a movie that wasn't anything like his last 3. No one gives him credit for it.

Soooooo you're a hipster then?

Yeah. Because it's played out and annoying. We get it. He makes **** films from time to time. Saying he does doesn't make you supreme movie fan.

He makes money. That's his function. And he knows it.

That's why I hate it. It's like this....way of trying to be cool. Especially considering he JUST made a film that wasn't a Transformers movie. And yet...no one seems to watch it for what it is. Which is sad. It's just bais. Dumb bais.

I agree that some of the criticism (like saying he's never madeca good film) is overblown. But ar some point you are what your redume says you are. And despite a couple of gems his film resume is garbage. Im not asking him to be Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, or Christopher Nolan but he could not aim for the low hanging fruit.

*Insert Devastator's nuts joke here*

the thing about his movies is that, for the most part they are entertaining and they are funny and enjoyable for regular moviegoers,
But they might not be as deep.

the other thing about Transformers that I see people criticize is how silly the concept of cars from space is. But that is not Bay's fault.

I guess for a cartoon Transformers was okay but I think some people might have problems trying to accept a movie about it with real people/the army etc.

a lot of the people bashing Bay is because of Transformers movies, but there is something about them that is not realistic in a way. What I mean is, it might not even be all his fault.

Correct. But then again, he makes movies for the dumb teenagers. While I don't always agree with his choices, I understand why.

I am not looking forward to this. Even if he was directing. Just sounded like a bad idea from the start.

My problem with the movie isn't alien robots that change into cars, planes, and other things. It's Bumblebee peeing on somone, dogs humping, no villain for 3/4 of the film, Devastator *****, racist robots, etc. All things as a director he could have influenced.

Does Bay sleep with actresses? Wasn't Transformers her biggest movie role?
