Nick's TMNT is waaay better than the first movie imo. Plenty of dark themes like Shredder murdered Splinter's wife and daughter but actually kept his daughter and raised her against Splinter.

Is this the new cartoon? Cause if it is I need to start watching it ASAP! I had stayed away because the animation looked too kiddie, but if they are telling these types of stories I'm down.

The Nick Cartoon is easily the best non comic TMNT material. The characters, throw backs to the old cartoon and comics, the stories, everything about it. The first few episodes did some monster/mutant of the week type stuff but than they got into the actual running storylines and it's way way better than the campy and outdated first film.

I stopped watching it after a few episodes, I couldn't stick with it.

I thought the animation looked horrible from the previews but it's not at all. I really view the 90s movie as a campy joke now after watching this show.

I can and I still am watching it. Love that show and you'd think Nick would mess it up but thats not the case. They do all the right nods from the comics all the way to the movies. Much better than 03 turtles by a long shot. I stopped watching after like ten episodes. Tried to hard to capture the dark tone but it just didnt feel right.

No what they do is they make them white when they go into battle mode to give them that "look its like the toys" feel.
