For some odd reason, I'm getting that Children of Men 'Baby Diego has died' mourning vibe from the whole world.

I cannot believe it... I am in total shock. RIP Michael... I have always loved your music.

One really sad thing, after being the butt of so many jokes, and negative press, I think MJ would have been shocked at this huge reaction and mourning of his death. I know I am.

1) There is a lot of insensitivity in this thread.
2) There is also a lot self righteous whining.
3) Michael Jackson was revolutionary in so many ways from choreography to record production to style for anyone to deny his impact is just simply not right.
4) I am actually much sadder about this than I thought I would be.
5) I think people need to let others deal with the shock in their own way and for many laughter is how they do it. Hasn't anyone in here seen M*A*S*H?

:wave

nice post pix

1) I am reading a lot more fan to fan support, sharing videos and stories. I think it's a great thread to get it all out in. I don't know, some shells are harder than others.

2) for sure. i think i read a post where someone typed "Too bad it wasn't Geraldo that went instead of MJ" another keyboard judge went spread eagle "worthless bunch" People judging one another or parties involved in lawsuits you were not apart of :sancho

3) COMPLETELY TRUE. no one like him ever MJ was the king of pop. An original, great records, hot videos, moves, style, marketability, die hard fans, was turned into a werewolf, mega sold out shows, a line of dolls, his own video game, 1 0n 1 with michaeeeel jooooordann, his own amusement park, his own zoo, turned himself into a ghoulish like creature. He was a man covered in Controversy. we could go on for pages.

4) A lot of people are. His artistry was a part of our lives. watched him grow up and die. ^^^^ing sad. What family didn't own Thriller?? My grandma had that $**T

5) It is the best medicine and lets not forget laughter comes in many colors but expressing that rainbow will rule you irreverent by the court of righteous whining.

He was a very sick individual and I hope he has reached some sort of peace now.

I am just curious if any freaks cry when a much loved celebrity dies?

I can understand being upset by the loss, but have never fully understood when people cry for someone they have never actually known :dunno

Crying is deeply personal for me, and only done when someone extremely close to me dies. I have only cried for one person in my life, my father. Crying is usually pretty difficult for me when it comes to mourning. When a celeb I really like dies I usually feel bad for a little bit, but largely get over it in a day or so, or much sooner.

Just wondered how a deah of a celebrity affectas some of you.

I cried on the day Princess Diana died. I was living in America then, and it just got to me that somebody so dear to my country's heart had passed away. Sometimes things that are not directly related to me make me cry like the Baby P case in the UK.

The men in my family never cry especially for someone we don't know. Now the women in my family especially my mother is a different story. You can have a sad commercial and my mother will start crying. She is one of those emotional church going black women that just over does it by throwing herself on the floor and rolling saying "Lord Jesus Christ please Jesus please". My brothers and I use to run and hide while she does her drama routine. Maybe that's why we are not the type who cry because even though we love our mother we don't want to be like that. And if you seen how my mother is you would most definitely understand. :lol

I wonder, could you get that on video? Especially the part with her rolling on the floor saying, "Lord Jesus Christ please Jesus please" :lol

Its embarrassing dude I'm not kidding. She likes to put on a show for everyone and it's beyond humiliating for us, I just cant even explain. :lol If something really bad happens then of course we'll comfort her but you have to understand she does her drama routine for the dumbest ^^^^ imaginable.

Have you seen Eddie Murphy in Delirious when he did his routine about his Aunt Bunny falling down the stairs? When she went "Lord Jesus....Oh, I'm falling down the stairs......I'm half way down now"? Well that's my mother.

I didn't cry, but it really hit me when George Carlin died. I enjoy his practical comedy and was saddened that I will never hear new stuff from him again. I fine most comedians amusing, but my sides would ache at his material. When I woke up that day, my wife said that I might not want to sign onto AOL and see the home page news.
