Yeah no kidding...
it's heartbreaking... :monkey2
I thought the memorial was very fitting, emotional and respectful...
I'm also glad that people behaved, in and out of the Staples center...
And I liked what Marlon said:
"Maybe this time, they'll leave you alone"...

I was honestly shocked more people weren't outside Staples. I thought it was going to be a major cluster^^^^.

I really love the way Stevie Wonder sings.

I've never cared for Usher...
I don't think I've ever listened to a complete song of his...
but his performance was great too...

Are you actually serious? The NBA finals requiring state/city resources? All of the security provided is by off duty cops who are getting paid by the Staples Center and/or LA Lakers. STOP DRINKING THE KOOL AID please.
'

Well you obviously have never been to a game at the staples center. There is a large police presence outside and they are on duty LAPD officers and LASD deputies for regular games and a HUGE presence for playoffs.

Maybe you should check your facts instead of making up facts:D

They couldnt get near the staples center. They had everything blocked off for maybe as much as 1/2 mile in every direction. They also didnt show any live footage outside to help keep people away. This was a well planned.

The end with his daughter will break your heart into a million shards.

Really? Because I thought that whole thing was BS. Look at how the media is milking it. I watched it and before she even went up I could tell something was amiss. Before she went up she didn't look like she particularly cared about what was going on. She was quiet and sometimes she'd fiddle with her hand bag, like most children. Her and her brothers seemed well behaved but every now and then Janet Jackson would wisper in her ear or touch and prod her as if she was doing something wrong or not displaying emotional as she sought fit. Janet looked like she was manipulating her, not comforting her.

Then they literally FORCE her to the mic. She looked like she didn't have a CLUE about what she was going to say. Watch closely they all grab at her and the mic and she looks shocked.

I didn't buy it, any of it. Call me heartless but I've seen real pain and what some of the Jacksons displayed was hardly emotional it was more like exploitation to me.

You can even see in this vid here,

Look at Janet. I'm sure she said "PUT that ^^^^ away" when Michae'ls "daughter" is just standing there looking at her purse.

Phonies. Don't buy it. We don't know what goes on behind the curtains.

The only ones that are suffering because of this are the kids. I'm sure the reason she cried was because of how surprised and scared she was not because "he was the best Daddy ever". "Speak up, so they can hear you"? It didn't even look like she wanted to go up or say ANYTHING.

Wow, I didn't see that at all. It looked to me like she wanted to express her feelings and she did, and during the memorial she was snuggled close to grandma pretty much the whole time. The boys didn't seem to really show a lot of emotion but she sure did. And I will never criticize how people show their feelings. So you think that just because they all werent balling the entire time it means they didnt care? Everyone does things different. This was a ceremony to remember his life, they had their time for crying at the private service earlier.

I agree with most of what you wrote. Maybe, just maybe I could have seen this much attention at the apex of his career, but honestly he's pretty much been a wreck for the last how many years. The same media that lambasted him about his plastic surgeries, his erratic behavior, and of course his sexual scandals are now treating him like he came up with a cure for cancer. I do think he was a great performer at one time, and could have still been. But he let his bizarre behavior overshadow what he once was. I feel for his family and children, I really do, but that's about it.

I didn't even see your post, Hoodonit00, but I am not surprised you thought it was aimed at you. You don't post anywhere else in this forum besides in political threads or threads unrelated to collectibles. And yes, you are quite a ******.:D
