Everything about this looks fun. I do have to bite my tongue a bit with some lore issues that bother me but I'm still looking forward to running around Mordor. This is going to be a game I try to get all the trophies for.

Did you see the latest TORN video with Mike Deplater. He addresses some of the lore issues. Although I still don't fully buy it.

i bet you are the only board member that has read The Silmarillion at least twice and counting...

Damn, if I knew this I probably would have pre-ordered the PS4 version.

My mother and sister are big Tolkien fans so they have the paperback editions from the 60's and 70's. I will concur the Silmarillion is a tough read but I found it easier to jump back and forth in the book to keep it fresh.

The reviews for this game are great and as a fan of Orcs and Uruk-hai I love the design of the characters. This might be the reason I was looking for to buy a PS4.

Same here. I've played War in the North to death, need something new. But if this is available on 3 I may just go that route.

Lore issues aside, as a game I hardly expect accuracy, just good game play.

Great so far! Feel like a BAD ASS, walking around, cutting down Orcs.
Open world and the whole element of the Nemesis system and orcs getting promoted if they kill you and gathering intel and targeting specific captains and warchiefs etc is pretty cool and something new.

WOW...... I've just been playing for about an hour.... this game is really good, I like the combat and story so far, killing Orcs is fun....

Graphics are amazing. I have it on Ultra at 1080p but the game makes use of the 900 series GPU's from Nvidia so you can select 2880x1620dunno) or 3849x2160(4K)(16:9) and then play that resolution on a regular 1080p screen

I also have the High Resolution texture pack add-on installed

You can use Stealth very effictively too, its kinda like Assassins Creed when sneaking around or climbing walls etc, and then like the Batman Arkham games with combat but you get extra Wraith abilities too, reading Orcs minds or killing them telepathically(very cool)

Agreed.

It's been a while since I bought a 60 game, but this one is well worth it IMO. Feels a bit arkham city meets assasinsCreed, but with a darker tone.

The Orc designs are well done. I almost want a flame head Orc (forgot his name) statue, heh.

I wonder, are the haradrim in this game?

Game is pretty fun. I can see someone just running around killing orcs for hours.
