Sucks that this game is sitting in my mailbox while I'm out of town this week! :cuss It's good to hear so many are enjoying it so far. Middle Earth FTW! :rock

Graphics are amazing. I have it on Ultra at 1080p but the game makes use of the 900 series GPU's from Nvidia so you can select 2880x1620:)dunno) or 3849x2160(4K)(16:9) and then play that resolution on a regular 1080p screen

I also have the High Resolution texture pack add-on installed

Accidentally took on 2 captains while playing and nearly **** myself when I was almost killed. Thank god the one captain didn't seem to give a **** when it came to friendly fire and did more damage to his own guys than he did me. Something almost satisfying about orcs being hit with an explosive fire arrow from their own captain and seeing them frantically running around on fire.

Took a break from playing Destiny today and picked up Shadow of Mordor. Really fun game. As stated, if you like the arkham games or assains creed you'll dig this gameplay. It's a lot of fun fighting the different captains and adjusting your strategy to compensate for their strengths.

Fought a captain earlier that was immune to pretty much everything but fire. Managed to knock him around enough and pushed him into a camp fire. He started burning and was freaking out which allowed me to take his head off.:yess:

Noice!

The only good Orc is a dead Orc

:rock That sounds awesome. I picked up my copy this morning at Wal Mart. It was the only one they had on the shelf, and I had to walk around for 5 minutes trying to find an employee to help me out. I guess they don't expect people purchasing games at 5:45 am, but I did manage to get it anyways.

I'm really likening this game so far. More than I thought I would in fact. It does a really good job of making you feel like a badass yet reminding you your still very vulnerable. I about three hours in so far. The controls (I'm playing on a PS4) are super responsive which is great when a fight with 3 Uruks turns into a fight with 20. And so far the story's pretty interesting and well acted.

Anyone else getting their a$$e$ handed to them? I'm struggling with some of the fights. I innocently try to murder one captain and next thing I know, I'm running for my life from a huge mob. This has been a really tough game for me. I think it's an awesome game, but some of the fights are insanely brutal. It could be my general inexperience with this type of game though. I never played Assassins Creed and didn't put a ton of time into the Batman games.

I did a few times at first but after I played through a few missions and got some good upgrades they've become a little less intimidating. It's defiantly easy to get in over your head really easily at first. But going through some of the main missions and getting new powers, runes, money for upgrades, etc is the way to go before going after a lot of the higher up Uruks. Taking as many of them out as you can with stealth and the bow helps out a lot too when dealing with the bigger groups.

This game is a lot better than I thought. It takes a lot of the good parts of other games and puts them together in a neat combat package.

Voice work is excellent............and it looks great. Also playing on my PS4 and zero complaints. I 'get' the Assassin's Creed references, but that is not a bad thing in my book. So far, way more fun for me that that series....

Played some more tonight. Have a few runes applied to things now and didn't get worked over when I got in over my head. I will say the graphics, game play, and voice work are really well done. The game is a lot of fun in general and I look forward to more venturing around. I need to play more before I decide for me how much of a Middle-earth feel this has.

Ok, playing this for the first time tonight...beyond checking out the first part for 30 min last night. Still just in the inital area, looking for flowers, and secret artificats, which I love doing...lol...anyways, I see Intel options, but how do you interrogate an Uruk for Intel again? Went to the tutorial section and don't see it? Thanks

Hold down R1 and follow the prompts after that. Using "attract" is a good way to get them away from the group they're in.It took me a while to realize you can select any of the captains in shadow to learn about.

Yeah it's pretty cool how much consequence there is for losing a fight. The nemesis system is impressive.

First time I saw and Uruk challenge another in the nemesis screen, I got a big kick out of myself....digging trying to complete challenges and the like.....really glad this is a fun one
