I've made the mistake of trying to kill that giant troll graugr thing. 3 times it's killed me and I've promoted so many guys because of him and even had 2/3 guys I've killed get replaced by new grim. Loving it though.

This happened to me last night before I decided to stop for the night. I was running around looking for one of the side missions, and mistakenly stumbled on one of the captain's that I thought was too powerful for me at the time. Well, I decided to run away and come back. Unfortunately, when I was trying to run I came across 2 other captain's and his goons. Needless to say that despite putting up a good fight I did not last very long against all 3 of them and their minions.

Voice work is excellent............and it looks great. Also playing on my PS4 and zero complaints. I 'get' the Assassin's Creed references, but that is not a bad thing in my book. So far, way more fun for me that that series....

I definitely get the Assassin's Creed references. Even my wife noticed this because she asked me if it was made by the same creators based on the similarities of the gameplay. IMO this is definitely the best LOTR game since Battle for Middle Earth.

I've taken some beatings but it's because I'm getting too big for my britches.

Yes, I think it's easy to get overly confident with your abilities which ends up costing you if you get carried away. One fight turned into a gang beating and of course I got overwhelmed leading to 4 captain's getting promoted.

Its official. I just suck at this game. I like it...its fun to just run around and kill stuff, but give me an objective and ill find a way to screw it up. Oh well. Its a great game, but I think ive been shooting things in the face too long.

So, I decided to chance the season pass for this one and downloaded it, but when I went to play the game, I noticed that the 'change skins' option was still locked. Upon review, and when about to boot up the game, there is the 'my add ons' option, I noticed that the skin for it was, in fact, not downloaded. Once done I closed out the application and restarted. Now, I have the dark ranger skin unlocked at the start.

At first, I was thinking I had to beat the game once as a unlockable later, but no

I'm having a blast with this game. As I said it does and doesn't feel Middle-earth like to me but all in all it is pretty fun.

That happened with mine too. I had to restart my system after downloading before it was unlocked. I think I like the default skin better though. It looks a little less assassins creed.

Has anyone bought the super powers that cost like $2500 for any of your weapons yet? I've been saving up for one but I'm tempted to use it on more runes and focus time. I've already upgraded my health and elf shot 3 times each though and that's helped out a ton.

I've been upgrading my dagger so I can have that one maxed out. After getting my butt kicked multiple times last night I think I may start focusing on maxing out my health though.

I'm working on things as balanced as I can get. Maybe concentrating on my sword the most though.

Thats what I'm doing, those Berserkers are pesky, if theres only 1 or 2 of them I can usually control a crowd with no hits, archers and berserkers are my weakness

Had a good time tonight. Took out a bunch of captains and even a couple of War Chiefs. Might concentrate a bit more on the main story tomorrow night.

Kinda what I am doing. Spent 3 hours today just doing the little missions, and looking for herbs....was able to dominate the one animal so was riding around within the map...pretty cool. Definitely a good purchase

Did you kill them or KILL them? I don't think I've killed any of the captains I've killed yet.

I feel very surprised by this game even though the combat is not as smooth as the Arkham series. Game still feel a bit too easy to me but still really fun so far with the fast spawning of orcs! I have finally died when I went into a fortress and the orcs sounded the alarm! I thought I was doing fine until they my camera angled inside a building and I got clubbed to death. This orc who killed me the promo...He is happy now, but tomorrow I promise I will delete him from my game!
