If you see someone drop a $20 bill and they don't notice, it is not ok for you to pick it up and put it in your pocket. Its immoral and indecent but maybe not illegal.
Here is a seller who performed an honest transaction with you, then he makes a mistake. The person who was supposed to receive the item is distressed because he paid for it and wants it, the seller was trying to do yet another honest transaction, and if you keep the item he will have to compensate the buyer and then he's out the money. It astonishes me that you have to mull this over.
it doesn't matter if its $5 or $500, wrong is wrong, the idea that the dollar amount dictates moral or immoral is utterly absurd!
Yesterday I received $20 too much change from an automated checkout. I took the extra cash to the desk to give it back and everyone looked at me like I was nuts for giving it back. It should be the opposite, and we should expect people to be honest and not dishonest.
Now you may feel you are being attacked, but I would hope you would look at your actions and and way of thinking adjust them.
I respect this opion of yours
but want to say again, I am not as dishonest and bad and wicked like most you you here want to picture me...I find that offensive and I willl reply directly to everyone who judges me in that matter. I am not that way. So I will not stand for someone who doesn't even know me to call me that!
but as for you opionion, I respect it, and I even agree!
But in this matter, I am not the bad ass buyer!
once again, check my ebay id:
Riko, I'm not going to hit you over the head with my principles or anything of that sort, but I find it incredibly stupid that you posted this sort of thing on an open forum for everyone to read.
It's like you willingly threw yourself into the snake pit, or lion's den and expected them not to rip you in half.
I think it's funny that supposedly Belgian law has a sort of finders keepers losers weepers clause. WTF is up with that.
Wow this thread went from moral issues to bashing and making fun of Belgians because of one individual?
Grow up you guys!
Dude just send that back. Contact the seller and I am sure the guy will be grateful. That guy who sold it to you may need the money you never know he may be depending on his sales to live his day to day life. You can't take advantage of someone for their mistakes. Everyone makes them.
No one was bashing anyone. Maybe you are confused? Joking is one thing sir bashing is another.
euhm, and why am I a blocked buyer again????
You seem to miss the whole point.
Seller sold me extra item! without me asking for it.
I am mailing seller now that he has send me an item
I am waiting for sellers respons what to do...
is that a wrong thing to do? where the ++++ is my mistake here
I think it is plain common sence that I mail the seller, NOT?
and my Ebay-usersname = E-riko
check my feedback *******!I am honest!
this topic proves it, but you just seem to think I am not, why is a big mystery.
:chew:chew
(because this is the first post that actually makes a lot of sence )
Canadians the most rational thinking people of the whole American continent?
people say when going to canada is like going in to europe? how come?
the way of thinking perhaps?...
also, how come that there are so much difference betweem canada and the USA, although they are neighbours?
so no surprice the most senseful post comes from a Canadian
Now who's being rude?!!
I didnt call names or be volatile and you call me '*******', hell of a way to make friends on a public forum you mooch!
You wonder why people are simply questioning your motives when you start a thread saying a seller has made a mistake and sent you 2 items instead of 1, you state you know your 'legal' position in Belgium is 'whats mine is mine' type of thing, then you wonder why people are questioning you with the responses you have been giving to this thread YOU started.
How hell can a seller 'sell you an item without you asking for it?'.
It was a mistake plain and simple, that item should obviously not have been sent to you and come on here gloating that you have the 'legal right' to keep it.Then you get all upset when people question your ethics on a public forum when YOU asked for advice in the first place.
Eventually yes you have said you have emailed the seller(which Im not sure I believe now anyway), which is imo the right thing to do but the fact you came on here stating its yours because he sent you it shows how 'honest' you really are
Oh and I didnt want your eBay ID so I could look at your feedback, I wanted to add to my blocked bidders list *******!!
Im sorry to all for this post, i never lose my temper on these boards but i do not appreciate being called names when replying to a thread you started and wanted opinions on.
no, I have one, e-riko
this is not mine, I have even never selled an item on Ebay
look here for my account https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160212799710&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123
I do not even have money on paypal, I ask a buddie of mine do do my paying for me...
so I cannot even offer something on ebay.
And if you don't believe that, surely you'll come op with other ++++.
The level has dropped now from a discussion to really childishness
If youre so honest, why did you give your 2nd Ebay ID which you barely use when your real one is the one that you purchased the Takara Batman with?
like a said! E-riko
mail me, got over here, and you'll see and find out by yourself I am a honest guy
you guys really wind yourself up because of the fact that I first asked about those legal grounds
but maybe that came up first because of my legal background...I'm a law student (I didn't mention it)
No worries Shell, don't let this scum get to ya . The guy says his Ebay ID is E-riko, but we all know this is not even his main ID. If it is, i'd love to see the auction with him as the winning bidder.tenorminprozacon the other hand has just recently bought one from Abc-express in hongkong. coincidence?
It's quite funny this morning watching this guy try to rationalize himself to every post in this thread.
