Things are rough. I recently had to cancel all of my SS orders because my son needs a new carseat sooner than expected, my water heater went out last month, my car got two flat tires thanks to construction going on at work and the refridgerator, whose warranty ironically ran out six months ago, has a faulty thermostat which raises the temperature unbelievably in a short amount of time. It'll be a while until I can get back into the groove of getting SSC orders again but I'm looking forward to it and got something really kick ass from the Mistress this year so I'm not complaining.

The Give Back program as well as the wish program are just two of reasons why despite the complaining and the _____ing and the critics Sideshow is still my favorite company.

Mike you have my luck! Seems like when one bad thing happens, a whole string of things go wrong. Between my dog and my car this summer, I'm surprised I have money to do much of anything. I have been putting off getting a washer and dryer since one went to pot about 2 weeks after the other. Going to the laundermat STINKS!!!

btw......my car is running pretty good and my doggie is all better which is the most important thing of all.

Now I just need to get a new rock to beat my clothes on and I'll be a happy camper.

Do the winner in this contest are already customers from Sideshow directly? I mean, I live in Mexico so for me its better to buy figures from our local retailers, so I don't have a customer profile in the Company...

I asked for what I canceled as well. Unfortunately I had to cancel. I wanted the Lara Snow Day but times got tough.

Which also, something sad is I had to cancel my orders for the Harry Potter robes. There is a charity here in Austin called Brown Santa and they don't have enough food to serve the people they normally do. So I needed to use a lot of that money to help buy food so people don't go without. I know doing good is great, but I wont lie, I am sad about the robes. But most sad about Lara since that was not a choice I made to serve. I just didn't have the funds.

Buffy, go to stores like Aldi where you can get whole cases of can goods for pretty cheap. That's what I do for our canned food drives. The janitor at my school hates me because I make him get the cases out of my car.

Also, if you know anyone who works at say, Kroger or other grocery stores, sometimes you can get them to donate to you for the cause. Sometimes all you have to do is ask. And have cow eyes

My catering company donated breakfast and lunch for 400 people at our local homeless shelter. Also donated 20 loaves of bread to a local girl scout troop who are making sandwiches for the homeless. Hope to donate a lot more next week.

That statement has been my past few years non-stop... As soon as I am about to break even or get ahead. A kick to the nads sends me back a few flights.

But I just get back up and keep plugging away. I have a goal and a purpose so I will continue to keep going until the mission is accomplished.

I get happiness seeing others smile and right now I'm happy seeing friends get these things.
