It really was a privilege to see him pitch for my favorite team and be a part of the team that ended the "curse". Going to Fenway for a Pedro start was always a treat. Can't believe he only got 91.1%, but that's BBWAA for you.

Really glad Biggio made it in. Really loved the way he played. I also had the pleasure of meeting John Smoltz during a brewer playoff game in 2008 when he was one of the broadcasters. Really cool guy.

Four very deserving selections. I also was able to witness the bulk of their careers, the first time I can say that about any HoF class. I'm getting old. :monkey2

It sure does. :monkey2

Agreed on Biggio, he seems like a decent, good human being. And kudos on meeting Smoltzie - he was an absolute warrior on the mound and a class guy off of it.

Next year's vote should be interesting Griffey is pretty much the only 100% surefire guy next year. The only other person coming up next year that will eventually get in is Trevor Hoffman, but I think he waits.

Then there's the leftovers from this year. I think Piazza gets it, but the rest are hard to gauge. I wish the the BBWAA would stop being the sanctimonious *******s they are and just let Bonds and Ohio Billy in. They were HOFers without the PEDs.

Been a while since the last update.

Scherzer signs with the Nats. Who cares?

Manfred takes over as commish today. Who cares?

"Mr. Cub" Ernie Banks died Friday. I care. RIP, good buddy. Let's Play Two.

New MLB commish is "open" to banning the defensive shift when fielding. I really hope they don't start fixing what isn't broken like football and hockey seem intent on doing.
