I left it alone, standing up with the belt off.
I took it off the stand today and breathed some hot air onto it and the shininess goes for awhile.
It's still got some oil in it, as it gets shiny again but not oily, so I'm going to leave it for a while longer

So, no wiping and no dabbing then?

Well I think if you going to keep dabbing, it's only going to come back anyway.
I would say if you're going to do this, take the belt off and dab it to take off the surface oil, then leave it standing.
Yes the oil will come back, but if you leave it, you will notice that it only get so oily.
I know for a fact it's evaporating because of the hot air test.
Should we have to go through all this?
Hell no, but I'm just happy that I'm seeing results, even though it's a long process

My thoughts were to dab for possibly a few months and surely that would have soaked up all the oil

Well I think if you going to keep dabbing, it's only going to come back anyway.

I would say maybe dab once a day if you want, but no more.
The Hot air test was my breath, I would be scared to use a hair dryer, especially on this figure.
My guess is they over treated the rubber with oil and did not allow enough time for it to breath before they put the belt on. Did anybody notice how cold it was out of the box, and also the fumes were truly overpowering for the first few days, it actually made me dizzy and left a funny taste in my mouth.

My figure was cold in the box but it shipped from Canada and stayed in the Northeast sitting in a UPS truck, so I expected it to be cold.

Yeah i wouldnt dab more than once a day.

My thoughts are that sooner or later i must soak up all the oil

The upholstery looks better than the figure to be honest!

I'm assuming it's a 3 piece suite of some sort?... or is it a single chair...

Which batch will that be then?

I also have the DX with oily abs.mine was in with the same batch that Geil and Malfan recieved from Toys 2.I was wiping mine with tissue paper at first but then quit because of what Malfan is experiencing with his paint coming off.here are pics.

Don't have the figure yet but I do have a suggestion. Maybe it is a reaction between the pants and the upper shirt, because wookster is not having the problem, maybe it is because they are touching each other. Because u say it is happening under the arms now.

I haven't heard anyone say it's happening on the under arms, but on the plate that protects the outside of his bicep.

I don't think it has to do with the pants and shirt overlapping, surely there'd be something you could feel between them and there's nothing going on with the inside of my shirt but the ab platers are affected, as are the plates on the biceps.

I'm sure sorry to hear about this "oil" issue that a lot of folks are having. Breathin' a big sigh of relief I passed on this for now. Here's hoping HT offers some good explanation/resolution to this, What a drag to have such a significant release in this new premiere line be plagued with these manufacturing/QC issues...

Mine stands on his own. Of mine, the V1 TDK has stiffer ankle joints, but the OC Bats has far weaker ones. All my Jokers (V1, BR, and DX) have tight ankles about the same as the V1 TDK.
