The crazy thing is, the quality of the mask, unless you got a good look at the mouth to see if it had Bale's duck bill like lips, you'd have no idea it wasn't bale, the eye area and the cowl look the same as the movie.

jUst what i was about to say, actually looks like bale in costume lol

So I want to buy a HT TDK Bats...and I like the Bale head more than the sonar head...but to me the DX looks better than the original. The extra accessories on the DX are nice but not really necessary imo...so...what to do? Is the DX body/sculpt/costume really that much better?

In terms of proportions, sculpt and paint work, the DX body is much better than the original TDK figure, but it has the oil issue which the v1 does not. So with v1, you get a lesser looking body but no defect issues, with the DX, you get a better looking body but might suffer a glaring defect.

Yeah...pretty much what I was thinking. Hrrm....

I used to have an original BB HT Bats, and the suit (while awesome) limited the movement, and even brought the limbs back to a neutral pose after letting go of them....do both of these suffer from that...is one better than the other?

Of the two, I'd say the DX is a bit more restrictive than the v1, but I find they both will hold any pose you put them in.

No, that's why the oil problem has been cause for aggrivation, because the DX is just an awesome figure if it weren't riddled with defects.

Anyone's guess, HT's not really being overly up front about thing. There's not been a public acknowledgement of the problem and people reaching out to them trying to get it fixed are getting mixed responses.

I think someone had a picture once of the body and it was like a hybrid of parts, some like the Slim body.

I really am in two minds about getting this one. Truth is, I can't stand my V1 now I saw in hand pics of this figure but all that QC stuff or leaking suit is driving me crazy.

What do I have to do to get a movie accurate Batman TDK suit ?

Yeah the V1 is bugging the hell out of me now. Right now I have the Medicom Batman displayed. It's a better option than the V1. The V1 is way too bulky. The Medicom version is a way better choice right now.
