I keep trying to talk myself into the first TDK suit....Bale head, cheaper price, can get one right away, no oil issues...

But I just can't do it.

Try harder...I have the DX 02 and feel like I made a mistake. Now, I;m buying the first version.

If only I had researched and known about the first version, I would have gotten it instead of the newer.

Please don't bring trash talk about other members into threads where they're not even participating nor is the discussion in question going on.

As for the other comments, they've been removed so as not to instigate anything.

I really want this figure, but unless I can find some place to order it from that's really cheap I can't swing it with all the other things I'm buying.

Hey guys, Im a little new here so bare with me!

Ive been watching these threads for quite some time, but finally decided to post so I could get a DIRECT and final clarification before I decide to make my purchase. Would you guys suggest to me to go ahead and buy this figure now or wait until the new release by DCD? Do you all feel this issue will be resolved. I get the feeling that some do & some dont.

In the long run what decision do you feel will benefit me?

PS: I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. There are so many different threads about this I couldnt decide which one would be correct so I just posted in the two threads, I felt I could get the most valid and honest information from experts!

I think everyone wouldl agree that the problem has not been resolved satisfactory and you should hold off until some confirmation is avaialble or HT finally coming out and acknowledging the problem and announcing the solution. It's hard to resist but you can always still get a leaky DX02 in the end when you decide to.

But I read about there being a magnet that held the head in place. Presumably this is the neck peg, otherwise you wouldn't be able to pose the actual head. Is some modification required to use a regular, flesh colored neck peg on this figure?

He kept the neck peg from the v1. Took the magnetic peg out and plugged in the v1 skin neck.

Sorry, not really understanding, so would it still be easily swapable with the PERS head?

He swapped the head and the neck. The peg at the base of the neck is the same as the V1.

No reason not to wait for the DCD release.

Either it'll be resolved by then or not, but either way, it'll be cheaper for you.

I read an auction that said the battery for the Sonar head is not included, is that correct?

That is wrong, batteries are included with the figure, could be the auction seller has removed them to not have to worry about corrosion or anything like that, but Hot Toys ships the figure with batteries.

Hmm...the reason I ask is that I received mine today and the sonar eyes didn't work. I ran home at lunch and didn't have time to mess around with it fully tho. Is there a sticker blocking the connection, or do I have a faulty one?

Yes, there's a small plastic tab sticking out of the back of the neck that you have to remove before you can use the lights.

Also, is there a trick to getting the sonar head off and on? I thought it came right off because of the magnet but it was stuck on tight. I didn't force it tho.

Or better yet....around what page would in hand pics be in this thread, so I can stop bugging everyone with question's that have most likely been A&A'd.
