Being very unhappy with the quality of DX original cape..I think it look more like a thick towel to me.
And having review some altenative custom made posted in some forums I also notice that mostly the replacement material is too soft and the result is also different from what I expected. It looks like the batman now wearing a girl dress, because the material is too Soft and thin.
After weeks of searching, I ended up is my friends warehouse, he is a fashion designer graduated from London, and my searching was finally over.. After some time searching in his drawers of collection cloths I made up my mind to pick 1 material that I think very suitable for my DX.
here is my 2 options, left is satine like cloth from Netherland, the result should be good, the material soft and will flow, but too soft, batman will be looking like as he is wearing a girl dress. The other on the right is very heavy, look like rubber and leather, This is it!.
Firstly I removed clip from the original bat-cape, and I threw away the original Towel DX. And I put the 2 clips as located in the picture.How? I made a smale hole, slide in the clip, and sew it on the material.
The result is in my opinion the real batman I was dreaming of, just like my imagination. Thank u my friend.., here are some photo shots of the result:
This new custom cape is flowing, yet very study, very easy to pose, very strong and heavy just same as the dark knight image.
This new custom cape can be flow down or span bigger/wide, just as I like
and another one, this new cape is shining outside but looking doff from the inside, just perfect in my opinion
Very different from last time I was using a very soft material(which resulting my batman looks feminine).
Many thank you to my friend who given me chance to seacrh all over his collections to find this perfect cloth.
