Here's the leg with boot removed:
The ball joint fits in here and connects with a circular opening within the boot.
The inside of the boot is near impossible to shoot, and mine still has the ball joint inside at the moment:
The rest of the boot is solid.
The Medi body is the way to go with the MeDiX set up because it's built to fit the Medi arms & legs. Converting these to the HT body wasn't gonna work: they are built differently and the joints weren't lining up. In theory, the Medicom boots could be put on a HT body that had the foot adapters on...assuming the foot wasn't too wide or thick - the Medi feet are pretty thin.

I would be curious to hear what Thrust or Penny have to say about this. I have a feeling there is some other reason that they chose to use the Medi body.
