The Medicom ones chest is too big and round (like he has boobs) and the abs are all wrong. There's problems with both, nothings perfect. If they were I'd have nothing to mod, and that's no fun at all.

Which is why Thrustmaster made the magical thing that we call the MeDiX



But the medicom is not crap. It doesn't have weird mouths and bug eyes, and the vinyl they use beats the HT rubber anyday.

Each has their faults.

Doesn't seem that hard since I'm using the HT body. If worst comes to worst I'll just do a head, neck, and boot swap. But I'm pretty sure the pants will work, and hopefully the arms. I just need to stare at the torso for like 3 days before finally cutting it

I will also consult Thrustmaster about it so rest assured. I won't be doing any mindless hacking of this figure

Do you feel that the reasons that everyone else chose to use the Medi body are sound?

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I really think the fact that both Penny and Thrust chose the Medi body is worth considering.

And honestly, if you can't get the Medi arms to work I see no real reason to diminish the DX as it is (other than the neck and cape mods... and possibly this new bicep mod, which I hope to try soon...)

Mag. The Medi pants allow more articulation and look better to me. The Boots are are also a lot nicer, and I would know as I own the HT boots.

I don't care why they chose the Medi body, this is my MeDiX mod, and I'm doing it a bit differently. If the arms don't fit on, I'll sand down the HT arms. It's going to be hopefully one of my greatest creations ever, it's just too bad no ones supports me on it.

And you may not be trying to give me a hard time, but you kind of are.

I wish you could just respect that I want to combine these figures, and that I don't view the DX as perfect.

The dx is a great figure but I always look at it and think 'what could have been...'

guys just lay off ed man. if he wants to do the mod, let him. what he's doing with the fig should have no bearing on your enjoyment of the figure.

i'm satisfied as _____* with just the neck mod i did. afterward, the DX just shines more. if ed feels like doing the medx to make HIS fig shine, then whatever.

basically, just suggest to him that it's not necessary. the decision is ultimately his...and also no need to suggest things like "selling a bad custom in his future". if he screws up, then that means it's either a learning experience for him so he can improve on his mod skills for future figs, or a sign that he shouldn't do more mods.

no need to burn the dude at the stake man.

The dx is a great figure but I always look at it and think 'what could have been...'

That could be said about every figure, statue, painting, car, house, wife . .

Well not really, to me certain things are perfect or near enough to perfect that that thought does not cross my mind.

What really disappointed me about the dx was that ht had months to look at the medi and look at their v1 and hear and read all the criticism and yet they made such obvious mistakes with the dx such as the arms the length of the ears on the cowl, the pants texture... So yeah, I'm doing a medix of my own, only way to put my mind at ease

This is opinion based which means no one is right or wrong. I think the DX is a better figure and Ed likes the Medicom more, tomato, tamato. To each his own.

Just received my dx02. The feeling is seriously surreal man. One of the harder figures to get.. (asia never received the dcd batch)

Exactly man, I totally agree. And they didn't even give us a Bruce head to go with it!
