now that the backpack is off just take look at the lower edge where the clip is that would snap under the shoulderblade. knowing that it should be a nonissue to put it on and remove it next time around

Yeah, I've taken the backpack off/on a few times - no problems and it fits and looks great.

Hi guys.

I need some help here. The boots of my Batman are deteriorating; the rubber has thin rips in the front of the boots and Hot Toys won't supply me any replacement.

Does someone of you guys have a pair of (spare) boots he doesn't need any more which I could buy?

Please let me know... Thanks guys.

I do but i did some painting on it for my Green Arrow custom. I decided to replace them with new ones. If you don't mind repainting them then you can have them. Its not that hard at all. Just the rough parts are painted.

Unfortunately I am really (!!!) not good AT ALL in this... it's like I'ld have ten left thumbs.
So if someone has some original, unpainted ans unneeded DX02 boots that I could buy that'ld be grrrrrreat!

Yeah, but they helped me very good with that!

As cool as the figure is; but somehow QA totally malfunctioned with the DX02....

Ah, thats probably why then. They state on their policy, one replacement part for a figure and thats it.

I'm curious how your boots are tearing though... thats not something thats stiff or has lots of movement or tightly kinked areas.

Yes, indeed. I was totally surprised when I saw the rips this week... It reminds me a bit of the ED209 dome problem.

But the don't even SELL spare parts...

Yeah. Thats one of the main reasons I never touch this figure or do anything to it or the original suit. It's displayed and thats the end of it. Expensive fragile statues.

I had also been reading the comments from the Mars Attack owners. :/

A real pity for those guys. I don't get what Hot Toys is doing for these rubber sleeves. Is it cut backs for profit or can rubber not be made good for flexibility or what?

I have seen rubber crack on their own but typically it's under dry and hot environment. Exposed to UV may do also the same damage

...and the Mars Attack occurrences as well as ED-209 domes? I can't see everyone of them in really hot rooms or with UV lights.

I even have a tiny hairline crack on the back of one of Sarah Connors arms. It only shows if you squeeze it a little. That was even from the day I got it. It's not right through but it's on the surface. When left alone everything looks solid. So I never bothered but this is still happening even in the box.

I just think this cheapness is for profit purposes. Make the stuff cheap it costs them less money but us a crap load. The goods will never last as long due to the cheapness of their rubber materials. Unless you leave it in a neutral pose and never touch it. Takes the meaning out of 32 point articulation, doesn't it?

I am throwing other possibilities out there because this is the first time I have heard of the boot cracking. It is also possible that the damage came right from the fab as we all know QA is not HTs strength. This might also apply to your Sarah. Just the more sources of damage we are aware of the more we could prevent it though I do agree with many that there is only so much one can do

My guess would be that the rubber they're use is just to soft and doesn't have the tensile strength to handle the bending and stretching. At the same time though a more durable rubber would most likely hinder the articulation. They should just use the ball type joints at the elbows and shoulders like they did on Wolverine and T-800 Arnold. Though I also wouldn't be shocked if they've just gotten cheap. It happens to most companies, the bigger they get the quality goes right out the window.

Well just speaking for myself, my Mars Attacks figures were standing in a detolf in a darkened room with low heat Led lighting. Posed once and left. And I have cracks too. I live in Europe so it's not hot and not dry.
I'm more shocked about how recent releases like this are decaying, years down the line is one thing, but this is just awful.

Guys I'm thinking about getting a custom cape for this figure. I hear that velvet ones are the best but I don't no where to buy
