Guys I'm thinking about getting a custom cape for this figure. I hear that velvet ones are the best but I don't no where to buy

You could also consider doing it yourself - just pick up a material you like from a fabric store, trace out the pattern (can just trace around the stock cape), and cut. Bound to be cheaper, too.

Seems like it's one of the easier customization projects and a good starting place for beginners. Who knows, you might be inspired to try your hand at other, more complex, mods and customizations afterwards!

that too is also a good idea...the first time you do a custom of your own, it leaves you wondering what else you could possibly do. Definitely a good way to get your feet wet in the custom world

and sorry haytil for immediately going to "just get an lforigno cape" just a natural response I guess for me at least, as I'm not too good at picking out fabric that works well at this scale

If I traced out the pattern and cut it myself it would look like a hack job. I don't have the same tools that lou has for making a nice clean edge. His capes look professional.


What do have against lforigno anyway?

Should be getting one of three items today.

either:

The DX Body and suit and accessories

or the Nurse Joker Kit

or the Wesker coat from RE5

I don't have anything against anyone.

I would just like to point out there are plenty of alternatives to any problem, as well as encourage people to develop their own talents. There's a lot of joy to be had when you learn to create on your own.

Totally agree. Once I picked up some sculpey and got the ___s to cut off piece of my "precious" figures, that was glory to know I could do what other ppl on the board do

Well, I ended up getting two things in one box since they were both apparently from 7toys7.

I got the DX accessories and the Wesker coat.

I'll post some update shots of my MeDiX here, and my pretty much finished (finally) Joker in the V1 Joker Thread and in my customs thread.


I cannot wait for the DX body and suit

Secret to a clean edge is just a simple fabric disc/circle cutter which comes at $10-15. Fabric is quite cheap too just need to invest time to find the right one in the right store. Just something you come to realize when you finally step into a fabric store which most of us simply have not
