Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics
Nolan's movies are all about realism. One of the realistic traits of his characters is that they get injured, and this can be reflected in their behaviors.
"Batman sounded like this because he had diarrhea", "Batman did this because he had a cold today."
Nobody's making a ridiculous argument like that. We saw him get injured in the movie - so he acted like he was injured. Complaining that he has that voice is like complaining about him limping in the end of the movie.
"Batman doesn't limp! Batman gets in fights and always walks away fine!"
Well, not in this series - Batman CAN get hurt.
Plus, fans have came up with these theories. It's not like Nolan or Bale ever came out and said, "he sounds like this because...".
Fans came up with the complaints of the voice as well. What's your point? The dialog is amongst those who watched the film (the fans), not the ones who created the film.
Nolan and Bale haven't commented on the voice because they don't need to - the film speaks for itself. If you see the reasons for the voice, good for you. If not, then Nolan and Bale aren't going to spoon-feed it to you in an interview, because that's not their job. And if someone actually asked them about it, I'm sure they'd give a polite answer while privately wondering why they're talking to someone so dense.
Again, asking them about it would be akin to asking them why Batman is limping and stumbling at the end. Do you think they should explain that, in case someone didn't get it? And how do you think they'd respond to someone actually asking them that?
It's bad, the majority of people feel this way, something must be up.
I don't think the majority of people feel this way, and I challenge you to prove otherwise. I think a vocal minority do and a bunch of other people think it's just funny to laugh about and don't actually consider it an issue, much less actively agree with the "anti-voice" opinion.
Batman got his *** whooped by Ras and he didn't start huffing and puffing and start sounding stupid.
We didn't see Batman right after his fight with Ra's - the scene with Gordon at the end is at least a day (and likely a week or more) after his fight with Ra's.
Also, I think Batman took a hell of a lot more of a beating in "The Dark Knight" (and across a much shorter span of time) than in "Batman Begins."
