Hey guys, Im gonna get a DX Bats soon MIB, am worried about the oil issue the thing can probably be from the 1st or second batch. The Dealer wont open the box unless I buy it, AND Ill have to see if once opened and I see a major issue, if he can offer me a discount. I already have the DX Joker and have been itching to get DX Bats to complete my TDK DX lineup... any suggestions on what I should do... as scary as the oil issues look, I just want the figure a LOT... but dont wanna pay $300 if its too damaged... BTW do you guys thing $340 (including shipping) is a good price?

Why would he offer you a discount if you've already agreed to buy it? Shouldn't he offer it to you first?

If he can't guarantee it's from the DCDirect batch, then it's from the 1st or 2nd batch.

I wouldn't pay $300 for a figure from one of those batches.

That looks pretty sick!
Yeah as I'm interested in selling a few of mine (or was) I had a look over completed eBay prices.
300, 400, even near 600 dollars for DX Jokers and Bats's. IN SANE! Considering how wide-spread sold they were.

This character and design is so popular, that not only are the DX prices going through the roof (despite these being produced out the wazoo), but the prices of the first release seem to be jumping up as well. I'm guessing because folks who don't want to shell out the money for the DX figure are going for the cheaper alternative. Only it ain't exactly cheap anymore.

I get the feeling that once the figures for new movie are announced demand on these will likely go down and perhaps with that value as well..similar to what happened to Mark III with Mark IV's release...hard to predict still.

I don't know about that. Mark III went down in price, in large measure, because the BD Mark III was superior in so many ways. Just like the Dark Knight OC Batman figure is way more valuable than the lesser Batman Begins figure--they are the same outfit, but one is a better figure.

I don't think they'll revisit either of these costumes for the new Nolan movie. Too many new toys will need to be sold. And if they don't improve on the old costume, I think prices will only continue to go up, if anything.

I'm surprised about Begins Bats. Wow. I've seen him go for $150ish-200 on many occasions. Some crazy ____ going down with Hot Toys prices recently.

Feels almost like a huge. . .bubble expanding. . .

I think that bubble may burst with the new DX releases. Indy and Supes, although Supes would sell well whatever the price. Indy is way overpriced considering the quality of the figure. IMO.

Nah nah, I mean't a few of my collective Batman/DC HT range lol. I only have one of each standard style figure like that. No stockpiling Wish I did with OC bats!

Yeah last year I try selling that Batman begins for the same price I sold it of for now, and back then noone would even look at it. This time when I posted it, it was gone in less then 2 mins, and had many inquiries.
