Nah, the discussion has stayed a civil debate for the most part. Not a handful of trolling newbs (with the exception of Wofford) claiming it's the worst HotToys headsculpt to date (with the exception of Wofford).

Not sure where the sky comes into play in this line of conversation so I'll leave that be. I will say though that I'm not surprised you believe your banning was unjust. But until I can even the scoreboard in the exile category you're in no place to be calling me or anyone else a troll.

The Dark Knight 1/6 figure talk is getting stale. I've grown tired of seeing the same discussions about leaking abs, broken eyes, custom vs. company produced figures and prices. Does anyone else feel the same way?

TDK has gone way beyond ad nauseam.

At this point I think everyone has had a very good run when it comes to TDK and action figure collectibles be it from your favorite customizer, your toy company and/or collectible company. I've been saying it for about two years now but new discussions have definitely run it's course.

So...don't post in this thread? Or bother reading it? Usually that's what one does when one's tired of a conversation - you don't just post to complain about the fact that other people are posting...

Seriously, I don't understand the point of this complaint. If you don't like the conversations, nobody's forcing you to be part of them. Does it bother you that other people clearly don't feel the same way as you? People have a right to talk about whatever they want to talk about. If it's the same stuff over and over, how does it hurt you to let them be?

Tangentially related....I still see new collectors showing up here to ask basic questions about these figures every few weeks. So it's good the community's still here for that reason as well.

Personally, I've never been too fond of owning a Bruce Wayne figure, outside of smaller figures, i.e. 5" and 6". Yeah, yeah "gotta have a Bale bro" but I could give two ____s about a 1/6 "unmasked" Batman or, hell, a Bruce in a business suit.

You know where a good chunk of extra heads go? BACK IN THE BOX. I know I'm not alone here either. Unless it's something radically different like a battle damaged head (Terminators) or Joker or something REALLY unique it's going to be admired for a few seconds and then get placed back in the tray, cabinet, feet of the figure.

It's happened to my Takara, my Hot Toys, most anything 1/6 I own. If you have a cowled Bale from both films, you're pretty much set.

Agreed that the Batman figures are far more "must-have" than a Bruce Wayne figure. But it all depends on the type of collector you are, and what your collection focuses on.

I focus exclusively on Batman, so I like to have representations of all the characters, in all their outfits and alternate identities. I had a Bruce Wayne figure as a kid, so it's cool to have one now too. And since I have the head anyway (from having the Batman figure), I think it's a good value for my money. My collection has very narrow breadth, but quite a bit of depth.

Of course, if your collection is more varied (like Batman, Terminator, and Iron Man all together) rather than focused on one specific set of 1/6 characters from one specific universe, then I would completely see why a Bruce Wayne figure would be of zero interest to you. Or even if you like just Batman, but don't want more than a few core figures on your shelf.

I'd gladly sell him mine if it wouldn't devalue the entire figure for not being complete. Now if he wants to make me an offer I can't refuse I'm all ears.

Are you talking about a HT sculpt or a Adam one? At this point I'll consider buying any sculpt of Bale.

It's gotten to the point now where I see the member's handle name and/or avatar and I know exactly what their post will contain. Maglor, Nam, Vodoun Void, You, Snake, Ecko, Wofford, Pennyworth etc. etc.

What they love, what they hate, what they'll defend, who they'll go against. It's old. Instead of finding new things to talk about we (sure, I'll involve myself in this mess) find new ways to discuss things we always talk about.

I assure you this won't be the last time a custom vs. licensed figure topic will be in this thread again. I assure you that Nam and Vodoun will be there, ready to discuss leaky abs. I assure you Void and Wofford will make sure you don't forget the names of the sculptors who make custom figures.

We've seen each others figures because there have been pics galore. We know what it's like to own them. We know how we feel about certain things. It's been done.

Maybe I shouldn't come into these threads, or this section for that matter, you're right. It's not worth trying to talk sense into those who will not listen but I've got to admit, I feel compelled to. Plus, my activity in this thread has dropped dramatically, just stopped in to express my thoughts.

Lock 'er up! Discussion on this DX has been discussed to doneness.

Seriously Difabio you're never going to get a utopia on a message board. You are free to pick and choose what you read and what conversations you'd like to participate in. Just because someone posts something, no matter how many times it's posted, it doesn't make it a requirement for you to address it. Simply skip over it and participate where you'd like. There is absolutely no difference between complainers and those that complain about the complaining. Co-exist, pick what you want to discuss, skip over what you don't. You've already solved your entire issue with your categorization of board members above, so when you see their name you already know you can skip over that post, it doesn't require a response and if there isn't a dialouge you are interested in start one within the thread that you are.
